Kalar takes a few deep breaths, regaining his calm. He drops to a knee, completely drained. After a few moments, he gets back up and walks over to the now still forms of Rachelle and Gontort.
He lays one hand on the stone, wondering if there's any chance of bringing them back. He tries to use his medical knowledge to ascertain if there are any signs of life at all in the statues.

Tammytharn, tight-lipped and silent also goes to investigate the statues of Rachel and Gontort.
She tries her "Dispel Magic" on Rachelle, although she has no confidence that it will work.
She then uses her remaining heal spells on whoever needs them.

How much did she cure herself with that self-targeted Cure Moderate Wound right before the battle ended?

The statues seem lifeless and dispelling magic seems to do nothing. Then Tammytharn remembered a section in the large book about warforged creation about bringing stone to life. It would involve a good deal of materials from the room, including diamond dust and a large mixture of potions.

"Tammy, my dear, I will leave our Rachelle to your care. For now, I will make sure the area is safe and we are not ambushed while you are tending to our comrades."
Kalar moves away from the statues, looking around for any sign of further threats. As he passes by the remains of the bull, he stops to examine it. He decides it might be worthwhile to take some pieces of the shattered amber. If they are going to travel to some strange land through that gate, then the semi-precious amber might be easier to carry around than gold from the worm room.
With that done, he examines the wall and the door the bull collided into. He wants to make sure that the worm doesn't suddenly attack them, if it has indeed been regenerated like all the other parts of this castle seem to have been.

Shit. Who died and made me a decision maker? Galse turns and yells out the door "He's doin something to the gate!!!". Pretending that Thistlewhistle didn't hear that, he returns his attention to the crisis at hand: "Easy, fella. We don't know what you're doing or whose side you're on. That bull wiped out some of our friends, and we gotta deal with that before we move on. Unless there's some reason we need to hurry..." he moves the sap into his hand and takes a few steps forward just to be safe "why don't we talk about this a little first?". He reaches into his other pocket and produces the rat "What can you tell me about this little saboteur?"
Kalar hears Galse shouting, and runs over in case something happens. He sees Galse ready with his sap, and the gnome in front of the gate. Kalar gets ready, but leaves it to Galse to act seeing as how he seems to have questions he wants answered.

Galse and Kalar watch as one of the locks on the gate slowly burns with a blue-ish fire. The flames reveal clover engraving surrounding the lock. Thistlewhistle crumples to the ground. The torch lands with it's flame touching Thistlewhistle's face, but it doesn't seem to burn.
Kalar rushes in, moving the torch away from Thistlewhistle's face. He examines Thistlewhistle, using his medical skills to see what he can learn from the gnome.

Kalar lays his tower shield down and moves Thistlewhistle onto it, using it as a makeshift stretcher.
"Galse, my friend, if you would be so kind as to grab the other end. We'll move our friend to a more defensible position."
Kalar lifts one end of the shield-stretcher, and leaves the room. Once out, he calls to Hrulgin, asking him to switch places so that Galse and Hrulgin will carry the stretcher. Kalar keeps his eye out for any attacks as he leads the two towards Gontort and Rachelle.
Once there, he asks Tammytharn and Lynda, "My dears, let's move these statues to somewhere we can take care of them. That room with the cauldrons, it seemed to have various chemicals and potions, perhaps we can find something there to help our stricken comrades."
Kalar will then take one of the statues, dragging it along if it's too heavy, and lead the way to the room with the warforged and cauldrons. He has no intention of going in right away though, at least not without first ascertaining that it is empty and no warforged have magically been created recently.
