My game which I only coincidentally began making on the first of the month is coming along pretty well. I'm likely to host it on Castle Paradox rather than here once it's finished due to some of its content; at once less and more than No Eat. This from the person who as a teenager used to loudly denounce games with even mild nudity or discussions of intimate topics.

I can't show a lot of screenshots around here. I seem to be happening thus far to take screenshots of things I either want to keep a surprise until I'm ready for release or which have inappropriate visuals.

I'm having loads of fun making backgrounds with transparency.

I'm dead because I have 5+ hours of homework a night, and that's without studying. On top of that, a 2 hour bus ride. That gives me about 2 or 3 hours a day with which to eat dinner, read a book, and work on my games.

There's my excuse.

I don't think I'll be able to spend as much time as I used to, sorry guys.

Dudes in IRC were asking me to join the contest the same day I decided to start making it so I've been thinking about entering. I doubt it'll be scary in any sense beyond "Nathan Karr using surreal imagery and uncensored nudity in a game" though.



Thanks. I named it that mostly because I was starting to feel really down and wanted to boost my self-esteem. I was really missing my girlfriend at the time and decided with that title I'd make a fantasy version of me going over to Maryland to meet her in person.

The game's identity seems to be shaping up pretty well by this point. Yesterday I showed it to her and she liked what's there so far. (I also showed her No Eat, which she loved and said I should make a version of with me and her in the starring roles. I might wind up putting a short level of a similar theme in this game because of that.)

Did a little work on the first dungeon today. Reference joke!

after I draw some wall tiles, I'm going to start trying to get the game started. I want to make sure I can get this stuff done before continuing forth with more monster designs. Attached is a spreader-turret thing on floors and ceilings (and possibly walls). There will be vine graphics (which aren't done yet) where these flower creatures will be at, and they will remain after you blow up the bulb.
