It is. It is very hard, at least to me, to make halfway decent sounding music for my games. I HAVE STUMBLED UPON THE SOLUTION! http://codeminion.com/blogs/maciek/2008/05/cgmusic-computers-create-music/. Now you can make 3/4 way decent songs, with no effort! (I know, I sound like Billy Mays, but bear with me). It generates midi files, and all you need is a couple seeds! The licensing deal with this is that you have to give credit to "cgmusic" and link to their site. Small price to pay for free boss battle music, though.

Heh, this is a pretty neat program. Nice Find!
The songs tend to come out a bit ...scattered... at times, but I could see this as being a great source of original music content for some small projects. It sure beats running into popular game music, like the final fantasy theme or Yoshi's island music, in an indie game.

I noticed that. Probably just because, well, it's made by a computer with very little reasoning capabilities. They're also midi files, so... yeah. I don't think I need to elaborate on that. Not saying that there isn't some kick-ass midis out there, just that the majority of them don't work well with the format's limits.
