I can't even think of what it might've been if it isn't reproduceable. Hmm. Well, this was on my (as of this afternoon) old computer, which I was keeping together with spit and elbow grease since 2007, could've been a side effect of a random ailing part on the motherboard, or who knows what.

Does that mean that the problem does not happen at all on your new computer?

I'll look into checking that over the weekend, I finished my new build mid-week and have been super busy, still need to transfer files from my old machine.

I tested that particular copy of my .RPG file in CUSTOM (6/26/14 Nightly) on my new computer, which is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit running on vastly improved hardware, and... the slowdown still occurs! Dun dun dun. The plot thickens. I also just tried it with the latest Nightly and it does the same thing.

I have no idea what the cause could be, but it's a non-persisting bug that seems to be impossible to reproduce, except for me anyways.

Could you please send us c_debug.txt immediately after encountering it, or c_debug_archive.txt, running with a nightly from the last few days?

After lots of back and forth, we found that Microsoft Security Essentials' realtime protection was to blame. It was causing a uniform delay of ~300ms when attempting the close the graphics files after writing to them because of some suspicious pattern of pixels. It's possible to set it to exclude the OHR's working folder. It's really annoying that it would do this enormous amount of redundant processing over and over without alerting the user. I hope no one else runs into this problem.
