I'd like to request a very simple feature

In my game I am using the walktall script and I have noticed a slight problem that comes along with it. The problem is that when I make NPCs for my maps, the NPCs have no sprite due to no walkabout sprite being drawn for them. This makes it hard to differentiate NPC #1 from #15, from#26... you get the idea. So my request is could you please add in a line for the "Edit NPCs" menu that says "name:"? This would make it a lot easier to keep track of what's going on.

You could do what I do, have a little walkabout sprite with the NPC's name. It'll never show up anyway, so might as well use it to help you keep track of who's where.



I ran into that problem as well when I started using walktall. Short of the feature you've requested, I've found this to be the easiest solution.

Further, instead of the little circles I've used in the screenie, you could use triangles instead to make it clear which way the NPC is facing.

Ahh yeah. I kind of started to do the same thing. Although I'm getting kind of lazy about jumping back and forth between making NPCs and going to the walkabout window so I thought I'd push to get a "name:" line. I'll keep using the aforementioned method but hopefully this feature gets added cause I have tonnes of NPCs ahha.

We should add names in lots of places! NPCs, tilesets, slice collections, spritesets, even enemies, attacks, and items could do with additional in-editor-only description fields to help distinguish between nearly identical copies.
