Entering with Doom Tactics. I plan to actually have something bug-free, if at all possible.

Good to talk to all of ye again.

Alright, formally entering the updated Batman & Robin game for Heart of the OHR. I'm not sure what feature I'd want to request as James made some of the tweaks as I was making this game, like updating portratits (which helped sell the new costumes in the update greatly). I'll think of something I am sure.

For those who would rather play it on their mobile device it's at:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.redtrianglegames.batmanandrobin

You can play as Joker and Harley Quinn, there's Boss Rush, complete with a super boss, and then there's also tons of costumes now.

For those of you entering rereleases, don't forget that you'll need to include something that informs the player what's new since the versions before Heart of the OHR 2014, so you may want to jot things down as you go if you haven't begun doing so already.

Also, we've officially passed the halfway mark. But no pressure!

Does this disqualify Batman & Robin because I didn't put a text document with it? I put all of what was new on the actual description of the game and it's even dated. Or do I need to specifically describe how to reach all of this content in a text document?

No, as long as the player has some information about what's new somewhere, you should be fine. But we don't need it until the deadline.

Due to work and general stress and fighting off burn-out, my project isn't proceeding quite as swimmingly as I would've hoped. Progress is happening, but it's slow and I have to keep downsizing the scope of what I can pull off for this contest.

But bottom line is I'm determined to make a finished game, even if it's only an hour or so demo that'll be done by December. I think that's a realistic short term goal. Then, I can make finishing the other 2-3 areas that'll be in the game a goal to finish by next summer. Since I started this game project at the end of June, 3 months ago, that'd give me a year to finish a full game... not bad, considering I'm also working two jobs at the same time.

I'm officially bowing out of the contest.

I'm very close to having my game done, but recent changes in my work and college schedules has limited my time to devote to Ruin. Also, I've been severely addicted to my 3DS as of late.

From the beginning, I've told myself that I would not work on my game unless I wanted to, as forcing it would likely make the quality suffer in the end. I know we still have seven weeks until the deadline, but I just don't see myself getting everything done before then. Even though I'd love to enter the contest, I'd be doing myself and everyone a disservice if I were to rush my game out the door.

On top of that, I will not be able to provide timely review of each entry. I do intend to review them all at some point, but I don't want to promise a bunch of reviews fast.

As for the cash prize, I will keep my word on that. $25 for 1st, $15 for 2nd and $10 for third.

I'm hoping I won't have to bow out too, but mounting stress from work and my awful living situation is taking its toll, not to mention I keep hitting roadblocks creatively on a regular basis. The good news is that I'm getting through the roadblocks, the bad news is that it's slowing me down way more than I'd hoped. I'm not sure I'd want to release a half-assed, slapjob demo on December 1st just to make the contest deadline.

I have to say though, even if I don't get a good demo out for the contest, it's driven me to do an amount of work in 3 1/2 months that I should probably be astounded by. It went from "oh I'm just going to make some game for the heck of it to enter in the contest" to developing creative ideas that I had no idea would come about. It's also forced me to keep the scope of my game narrow and adopted a more feasible, finishable creative project. That's a good thing! At first I internally grumbled at cutting out an entire game area I had sort-of-planned, but now I'm glad I did.

Not that it probably matters for either of your situations, but the absolute deadline is December 14, not November 30. November 30 is the last day you can qualify for entry prizes.

So, you've got nine weeks before voting begins. Plenty of time.

I might have enough time/motivation to churn out a working copy of my game. It's definitely progressing, but it's doing so at a very slow and sporadic rate.

I'm going to grab this opportune moment and drop out of the contest as well. I have a deadline in a week which I certainly won't make, and this stay-up-all-night routine is killing me. So I'm going to take eight weeks off to recover. I really hope they don't give me an extension.

Oh, and I was never entering a game in the contest in the first place, but I might have made some kind of promises with regard to Heartbugs or whatnot, and this is a convenient way to get out of those. Good luck, team!

I have been doing a terrible job of keeping track of heartbug requests, so now is the time to speak up!

Who is still entering a game?

What is your bug/feature request?

Have I already done it yet?

I've already entered with Troll Over.
FIRST!

I requested battle scripting.
Failing that I resigned myself to just asking for more heroes. This would be more hero entries and more heroes in a party.
I'm not sure if you're already done this, I don't have the latest nightly.
If it hasn't been done yet, I'd like to change my request to fixing the sound effect/music import bug where the space button.enter button sticks.

Battlescripting is too big for the scope of this bug request

As for more heroes, if you are asking for more than 4 in the active party, that is also too big. If you are asking for more than 40 in the active+reserve, then that is a realistic request.

The import keyboard sticking bug is a good request, but I don't know how long it will take to track down. It has been driving me crazy too, but it is so inconsistent.
