Notice that the overall shape of his left leg is really simple and tube-like, since the angle of his knee is such that you can't see the bend.
But it pops out and has depth because the whole lower leg is in shadow, while there is a glare of light on the top of the knee.
The muscle bulges help, but since you are working with a smaller number of pixels, you can't rely on the bulges to show shape and depth.
I think similar shading treatment could really help the legs.
I also suggest making his ankles smaller.
Your guy's right arm can also benefit from shading the upper arm and lower arm differently. In this case, I think the upper arm should be in shadow, and the upper shoulder and lower arm should have more light on them.
As for the left arm, as I said before I think it has the best shape and definition of the joint, but after you have worked on the other three limbs, they will all look longer with better shading, so the extended arm is going to suddenly seem too short in comparison.
