I would like to know if there is a guide to using the Hidden Menu. It seems like the "Sprite Editor With Arbitrary Sizes" feature may be useful for me. I just don't understand how to use these sprites in place of my current sprites. Is there a plotscripting feature which allows this to be performed?

Nope, no guide, and that was definitely on purpose. They are in a hidden menu, because we really don't want people using them yet. :)
The only thing the "Sprite Editor With Arbitrary Sizes" is useful for is if you want to export the sprites to BMP fomat. The width , height, and frame count values are not saved at all inside your rpg file, so if you go in again and don't use the exact same values you did when you drew the sprites, the previously saved ones will be hopelessly mangled.
There is no way to use these sprites in your game, neither with slices, nor with plotscripting of any kind.
Someday I would like to add support for more sprite sizes, but this experimental editor won't be a part of that plan.

Alright, sounds good.
