I thought I would take a minute to give everyone an update. I am working hard on version 1.1. I have added cool new features, the biggest of which is an in-game checklist of all the parts. I'm really putting in work to polish it up so it is taking longer than expected. Expect a new version in a couple of weeks.
I may do just that, soon. I have no idea what I'd be getting in to, but that's the fun of reviewing things, right?

Ramble Planet should now be available on OUYA!
I played it on my OUYA last night. Yay!
You might consider opening a thread for it at http://ouyaforum.com/

A fine idea! I'm going to be out of town this weekend, so I'll start one when I get back.
Ugh. Self-promotion is so tiresome. Maybe I need an agent!

I am enjoying my second playthrough, and I almost have everything, but I need a hint on that dang Freezer part.
I'm so pleased you are playing through again. I feel like I've done something right.
The PC version actually contains a text file called CHEATBOOK that provides hints for each part. Since you are playing on the OUYA, I'll give you a clue.
It has to do with the purple #2 blocks.
If you need more...
It has to do with the purple #2 block on the surface.
If you still need more...
You need to get an item from the purple #2 block underground. That will let you approach the #2 block on the surface and then collect the part from it.

Hmmm. Even with all three hints, I am still stumped.
I see two purple 2 blocks in the underword. One that I can push, and one that I cannot interact with. I have had no luck procuring an item from either one of them

In the underworld, push the movable #2 block all the way west until it touches the second #2 block. Once this happens, you will receive a "junk" item. With that item in your inventory, touch the #2 block on the surface. Let me know if you think this is too obtuse of a puzzle. I thought it would be too easy!
I got it now! :)
Whoah! I didn't realize I could push the 2-block more than a single space away from its starting point. I was always charging at it full speed, so it would push one tile and then snap back. Now that I see how it works, I am surprised I didn't figure it out on my own. I might have been influenced by knowing it was a red herring in the previous version

I kind of like that you didn't realize it could be pushed slowly and moved all over the place. If other people find this puzzle really frustrating, maybe I'll offer a hint. Let me gather some feedback.
Does this mean you got a perfect 70 part score now?

all 4 precious metal, the nuke, the following-shadow, all but one exp point, (no hardpacks killed) and I visited the core
That's everything. The Hardpacks are pleased!

I think I am going to install it on my Mom's computer and see if she can get into it.
Hopefully it will be mother-approved. You are Ramble Planet's greatest champion. Thanks for everything you have done for this game... playing, porting, proselytizing... not to mention writing the engine.
