Stone Wings

This week's game is Stone Wings.

Whelp, it's a new year and it's time to start new things. This weekly game talk thread isn't something I'm all that excited about doing and the turn out has dropped a bit. So this will be the last week I do this. Anyone is welcomed to pick up the torch and keep things going if they'd like.

Anyways, I hope some of you got something from these.

Things have probably died a bit due to winter break being over for anyone who isn't a college student, likely. Given time for the HotOHR, it should pick up full swing again, what with all the popularity of the contest.

I wish I could comment on Stone Wings, but I haven't even started playing it yet, and with 20 hours of gameplay and multiple endings, I don't hold up much hope of being ready this week! :)

Maybe this book-club style discussion would work better if we scale it back to a monthly rather than weekly thing?

Yes, the cycle length is definitely a contributor. If it were my show, I'd say the new game starts something like a week after discussion dies down on the old game. The games people like talking about stay in the spotlight longer.

Somehow, I have never heard of Stone Wings.

I think it's far too fast as well. I'm too busy for at least the next couple weeks, but after that I'd like to go back, play, and post comments about Entrepreneur, C. Kane, and maybe Scare Spree. The SoJ thread was a fiasco so I guess I don't really have anything to write there (besides, I played it 8 1/2 years ago).

Stone Wings was a game uploaded here not too long out of the blue. Unfortunately I think that someone reported that it was completely unfinished and after the first area none of the maps even had wallmaps. I think.

The game page reports it as complete, though.
I feel so betrayed.....

Oh, I just realised that MeatBallSub wrote a review of Stone Wings. All the images have disappeared from the Slime Salad version of the review, so instead, read it here:

Anyway he doesn't mention any missing wallmaps, nor say that it appears to be incomplete, so I seem to be thinking about the wrong game. Sorry about that.
