How much of that scribble is actually functional? Like this Shadow Complex map.

You should see the back sides of all my university notes. It's a scribble bonanza! Hundreds upon hundreds of scribbles haha.

That's a good way to put it. I like the variety in the trees. Are those dead vines on the castle walls? I think adding a couple branches going to the sides would help.

Thanks guys. Yep, those are snow covered vines, and I will add some different angles to them to make them look a bit better.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Update time! Here's a small selection of some key scenes!

Seems there's more than just one employee working in the store! Maybe if you befriend them, they'll help you out?

I'm sure you'll feel better in the morning?

Shush you, don't give him any ideas!

Go home Fenris, you're drunk now.

Good lord, what have you been eating? Cabbage and Ghost Chilis?
To friends long gone, and those I've yet to meet - thank you.

Thanks. It works in theory, we'll just see how I deal with breaking down such a large map in to background layers for import in to the engine... I presume it'll be a pain but could be worth while too.

I think I have tried this before (if you mean drawing a really large map and dividing it into 325x200 rectangles and importing as full tilesets?). It won't be much of a pain nowadays as you can copy entire tilesets eh...

Yeah, I shouldn't complain. Also I'll have to import a map overlay, so I have to determine which components of the map will overlay the hero, then import them in a layer above the heros. I also considered doing some parallax but I'm not entirely sure that it would even be worthwhile, guess we'll see when the time comes.
