Video Tutorial Planning

Heyyyyy, I keep saying I'm going to do things like this, though I only do it on the rare occasion, and honestly, I only really enjoy showing off tricks to perform moves often seen in games such as "critical hits" and "libra".

Here's the videos I've already done, though I may just smash the graphics menu tutorial.




I'm going to, next, do a tutorial on how to do "libra" type moves.
Are there any sort of tricks you'd like to see me try to show off? Even if I don't know something off the top of my head, I'll work on making a way to do it.

Do a video on tile animation. That really confused me the first time I had attempted it so I feel it would be a good one for beginners.

As for battles, you should do a tutorial on how to make one large enemy out of various small enemies and show how to make the battle end if the main part of the enemy as a whole is destroyed. For example you could have a robot body (enemy 1) with a cannon for and arm (enemy 2). Show how these enemies can be placed such that they look attached together, then show how you can construct the battle such that destroying the arm does not end the battle but destroying the body does end the battle even if the arm is still alive. I think that would be cool!

Awesome! The second of those will definitely help me as I have a good idea as to how it works though have not yet attempted.

Oh and also a useful one would be making a textbox with options, like: Do you want this cake?

Simply put, custom menu options can do it, but would you like me to do something with special tags or just to display a message per choice?

Well I'm not sure what you mean by special tags. Do you mean like: answering 'yes' turns on tag 4 thus causing the player to turn in to a cake.... That would be neat to know how to do.

I was more or less suggesting tutorials you could do that would be helpful to newcomers and beginners so that they can get in to game making faster. Its not exactly something I need a tutorial on per say. I've not yet attempted to make conditional text boxes but with a little trial and error I think I could figure it out on my own.
