I've been working on a new game for 4 months. It's about 65% done but will be completed by the end of the year. I need someone to compose an original soundtrack for it. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Here's the premise:

Your spaceship has crashed on a planet decimated by cataclysms and populated by strange alien species. It's a dangerous, scenic, wacky, and incongruous world that is both a dump and tourist destination. You need to scour the land for the missing parts of your ship, or be stuck there forever.

The game is primarily about exploration, but with an extremely simple battle and equipment system.

The planet consists of two huge maps (the surface and underground) with no battle scenes and few doors. Therefore, I need two lengthy pieces of music (one for each map), since they will run interrupted for long periods of time.

These should be funky, groovy, relaxing, and really weird. Also, since the player will be listening to them for extended periods of time, they should contain diverse sections and be somewhat long (ideally 5 to 7 minutes).

I will also need 2 short pieces for the title and ending screens.

If you are interested in writing music for this game, Send me a PM! I can send you a copy of the game file so you can have a look. Then make me a 30 second sketch of what you think sounds good. If it will work, then you can expand that into the long piece for the surface map.

Here are some pieces of music I think capture the right mood. Your music probably shouldn't sound anything like these, but listening to them might put you in the right zone. However, as important as being groovy is, being weird is even more important. If you want to use all samples of animal sounds, I'm okay with that. Go crazy! Let's work together!

Here are some screen shots. These are all from the surface map.

Maybe unsurprisingly, I haven't had any takers on this yet. If anyone does happen to be interested, hit me up soon. Otherwise I'll make the music myself and everyone will complain.

You could gain more exp in the bard class, and work your way up to getting that achievement.

I'm entering the final portion of this engineering semester and my classes are pretty consuming so I don't exactly have time. As a consolation I can make you a bunch of .wav sound samples which you could arrange and manipulate yourself. I just don't have time to arrange and edit songs but I could deliver the bare bone samples if you'd be interested. I listened to the links you posted and could easily make some soft synth sounds and club kick. I own a 2 osc, 2 lfo synth for making basic sounds. I also can do guitar, bass, drum machine, harmonica, and trippy warped vocal stuff (on my effects unit.)

You may want to keep your options open for the time being but if you do choose to go this route pm me and we can exchange emails and get something going.

I totally understand. I didn't ask you first because I didn't want you to feel obligated in case you were busy. Hopefully we will work together again some time though.

Thanks for the offer. It's not necessary though. I know a little bit about producing music and can find or make my own samples if I need to.
