Sword of Jade 2 and Sword of Jade Parallel Dreams are definitely the same game, though Sword of Jade was, at one point, a seperate entity that was also known as Dog Quest, starring Dog Hero. I don't remember if it was ever released, Charbile or Fyre would be able to tell more, but it's neat how a newbie game like that was continuously polished and developed into something like SOJ:PD.
