Many recipe combinations are illegal. Two starches or two meats results in Inedible Abomination, as does meat and chocolate. The point of Inedible Abomination is to discourage the player from using illegal combos -- each one generates a message telling the player what went wrong.

I'm not interested in spoiling the recipe list, since I think discovering the recipes is half the fun of the game.

Both teams have the same judges to work with, so it doesn't really matter that one judge hates literally everything that could possibly be made in that contest.

This makes me think, though, that maybe I should add in an Easter egg for this sort of thing ("Why did I sign up for this? I don't even like X!").

Error: Selecting never mind in the info-mole's menu brings up a text box stating "Give me your moolah and I'll give you some ingredients, Cowabunga!" and doesn't do anything.

Edit: I dig the debt collector's stage-exit.

Speaking of the debt collector, I paid him off. Then went to the restaurant. Then saved. Then exited the restaurant after making food. Then the debt collector was there again. And then game over. Fix this, plz.

After examining every legal ingredient combination, I added nine more recipes. I also added one new ingredient combo to the Inedible Abomination list, so you can stop trying to make things out of Chocolate and Tomato. I marked 23 recipes as possibilities that required further investigation, but most of them are probably dead ends, so the finished game will have somewhere around 60 recipes.

I discovered while updating the big cookbook that the Cheese Lasagna recipe appears in the in-game recipe book when you make the Beef Lasagna recipe. Evidently, I had planned for one of the recipes, but got mixed up somewhere along the way. They're both in there now.

I haven't uploaded a new version for this. I'm hoping that the next upload will be the content-complete version of the game; in other words, the finished product, plus or minus some fixes.

Incidentally, the following tweaks are planned for the final release:

• You'll be able to consult the recipe book while cooking.
  
• Ingredients that you've already added will be displayed onscreen while cooking.
  
• Spells will be rebalanced. Among other changes, MP costs will generally decrease.
  
• Money received from battles will decrease.
  
• AND MORE
