The second one looks much better, like the bridge is actually sticking off the side. The first one doesn't look awful, but it is a little weird, especially with the second one to compare it to.

They looks similar, but I agree that the second is better, for the bridge-perspective reason Giz mentioned.

I really like the building.

Also I would suggest changing the bottom of the tree trunk so it looks like roots going into the ground instead of just being flat

the second one looks fancier, imo

although it certainly looks better, i can't help thinking that it has a butt, and i'm not entirely sure what it's supposed to represent; other than a butt.

grooves in tree bark are normally vertical. so if you want to define the texture on the tree, it might be best to start at the roots, and work upward (like you started on the edge).

Also, tree trunks are much thinner than their boughs. Take a look at this, for example.
