I've handed the contest completely over to Meatballsub.
It's my understanding that he's going to be the one posting the voting thread.
It's up to him to extends the deadline.

I'm extending the contest 10 days. Games will now be due on Monday, September 9th. I felt this was the best additional time to offer as to not be unfair to those who could have met the original deadline while allowing a decent amount of additional time for others.

It will allow us to hopefully finish up voting by the end of September as well. Spoon, please change the original post to reflect the date change.

Remember that your games don't have to be fully complete to be submitted into the contest. There are many games that were only released as demos in previous 8-bit history, and a lot of them were still fantastic (Okedoke comes to mind).

I have a not so nice message: I was not able to put my game together, so that I could upload it. I would be only happy with a completed game, but there was no the time in the end. What makes the whole thing more terrible for me is to see, that there are only two games contesting in the 8-bit contest, and one game more would have made a difference.
But I am in the starting holes for the next 8-bit contest.

Last day to submit your games! I would suggest uploading them regardless of whether they are finished or not. Some of the better 8-bit contest games have been incomplete in the past. You aren't necessarily judged on length or completion, but rather overall quality.
