Continual Battle Text Display

So, I've got an attack who's animation is several frames, thus having me to use multiple attacks to display them all. However, having the attacks go and displaying the name of the attack, combined with the OHRRPGCE's cracked out battle speed, just flashes a billion times in an epileptic poor-mans techno dance party-like fashion.

Just imagine trying to read one word that's repeatedly blinking in and out of existence. That's what's going on. Any solutions? Gonk

You don't have to display the attack name for all the attacks. Just start the chain with an attack that shows the caption for an extra long time, and don't bother showing it anymore for the rest of the frames. You can even start the chain with an attack that does nothing but show the caption.

Look at Romancing SaGa 3 for an example of what I'm talking about.

This is probably a good idea for making your battles easier to follow, in general. Never thought about doing that.

Yar, don't they sort of do something like that in FF3(or 6 in the USA)? Where it announces the attack and THEN it's performed?
