Beelzebufo release soooooon!

Baconlabs, and I just googled interesting C words. Learned a fair few words in the process, heh.

Callipygous and Calithiform were my two favorites out of my suggestions. Hoorah for contributing to a possible winning codename!

Actually, I went back and checked. Credit for alectormancy goes to guo. But still, kudos to Master K (and Baconlabs?) for finding such a great word. Hopefully we won't practice cacoepy every time we say it (if we use it).

I found a few using Master K's method that shouldn't top callipygous, but are still cool alternate code names nonetheless (one of which is the perfect sequel to alectormancy):

capelocracy: government by shopkeepers
capnomancy: divination by means of smoke
chirospasm: writer's cramp
codswallop : something utterly senseless; nonsense
commorant: resident of an institution
cynoclept: one who steals dogs

But yeah, I still think Master K should win this round.

EDIT: There are a lot of good -mancy words. Check out a few of these:

catoptromancy: divination by examining mirror placed underwater
causimancy: divination by means of fire
ceneromancy: divination using ashes
cephalonomancy: divination by boiling an ass head *Note: word filter strikes again. Should be three-letter donkey word.
ceraunomancy: divination using thunderbolts
ceromancy : divination by means of wax drippings
chaomancy: divination by examining phenomena of the air
cleidomancy: divination using keys
cleromancy: divination using dice
conchomancy: divination using shells
coscinomancy: divination using a sieve and a pair of shears
crithomancy: divination by strewing meal over sacrifices
critomancy: divination using viands and cakes
cromnyomancy: divination using onions

There are others, but these are the fun ones.

I love -mancy words. I could just go on reading lists of them forever. Back when alectormancy was released, I was seriously considering doing a whole alphabetical series of -mancy words as codewords, but since we already broke the chain with beelzebufo, I don't feel inclined to stick to that ;)

I want to write a short story in which many of these different kinds of mancies actually work, and can their predictions can be played against one another for greater advantage.

EDIT: hot dang! I just realized that Callipygous lends itself to stupid jokes about the gfx and music "backends", this is starting to seem like a sure thing.

I was initially against Callipygous, but it's grown on me. Especially because of the puns. So, uh, consider this my vote.
