I haven't declared a release-candidate yet, but we are getting super-close to the beelzebufo stable release. If you haven't tested your game with a nightly build lately, this is a great time to do so!
This is also a good thread to suggest codenames for the following stable release. I won't be doing any voting this time around, just picking a codename that tickles my fancy-- but I don't have any favourites yet, so now is your chance to plant an idea. The codename can be any word that starts with the letter C
I want to say "Chernobyl", but perhaps something that experienced a catastrophic meltdown doesn't quite inspire that much confidence as a name
I think I'll go with "Cornucopia" instead.
Being from the third world, I reserve the right to speak in the third person.

Ah, I see. I thought the word was something special. :(
I've never heard it before. But on the other hand I'm I'm no native speaker.

I guess it is actually a bit obscure, it is just that almost every elementary schoolchild in the United States does art projects where they draw, color or craft cornucopias for thanksgiving time at some point. So I probably have an excessive awareness of cornucopias because I was schooled in the one country that celebrates the Thanksgiving holiday.
Also, the cornucopia featured pretty prominently in the Hunger Games books and movies
Chwidencha - A chwidencha is a creature that has a radial body that measures about 11 feet in diameter and weighs as much as half a ton. Many long legs (with long, barbed, spikes on the end) emerge from the same point on this body.
Charon - Ferryman to the underworld
Chelicerae -The chelicerae (pron.: /kəˈlɪsəriː/) are mouthparts of the Chelicerata, an arthropod subphylum that includes arachnids, Merostomata (horseshoe crabs), and Pycnogonida (sea spiders).

I approve.
I figure I may as well announce some-what publicly: Upon Beelzebuffo's release, I shall begin to make "beginner tutorial" videos that explain what each little function in the OHRRPGCE does. This will not include an in-depth plotscripting tutorial, as I'm not exactly a professional plotscriper, but I will be showing how to make a simple game-over script. I will most likely link the online plotscripting dictionary for people to warp to if they want.
I'm basically going over the little functions and showing how they work, just so that someone who's intimidated by the retro look of the OHRRPGCE (like one particular young friend of mine) will be able to see "Oh, hey, this isn't so scary, just as long as you avoid the grue!".
Some things which I shall do:
-Create one of each enemy sprite and make enemies of them.
-Create basic attacks such as....an attack, and a magic spell, and a heal spell.
-Explaining the basic functions of each global text string
-Show a brief example of each game type (ATB and TB RPGs, not platformer, shooter, or otherwise)
I won't go over slices much, as they're objects that seem to deal with plotscripting, and I don't want scare people away with something as "advanced" as that (and I don't understand how to manipulate slices an enormous ton myself, I've had to have James assist with that).
I'm going to be taking things from the top and working my way down on the list of things you can do on the OHRRPGCE, so I start with graphics.
This is not shameless self-promotion, but subscribe to me if you want to view these videos as soon as they are released: http://www.youtube.com/user/Meowskivich

C seems like a good excuse to go digging through Aztec names.
Coyolxauhqui - a powerful magician and leader of the star gods. She sounds like a badass.
Coatlicue - mother of the gods
Chimalma - goddess of fertility, patron of life and death, guide of the rebirth.
I'm personally drawn to Coyolxauhqui because it's so awesome looking, but I have no idea how to pronounce it. :-\

Wow. Apparently it is pronounced [kojoɬˈʃaːʍki] which contains two sounds that do not have any exactly equivalents in english. The best equivalent I could piece together from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA_for_Nahuatl would be something like:
Coyock-SHAwacki
But I am sure any scholar of Classical Nahuatl would want to throttle me for that bastardization :)
