So, on paper, this game is finished in design. At least map/puzzle layout. I took inspiration from those rope-walking segments in Dragon Warrior III, only smecksier ♥
You know, if you dig puzzles. I've no idea what fetishes you weirdos have.
So I can get a step on things once I get off me fat lazy behind, and I'll hopefully have this completed by the Heart of the OHR contest of 2014.

There is a decent chance of work being done on this for a little bit. If snapshots are desired, request them, otherwise no guarantees are to be had.

Okay, time for the inevitable progress update(s) post of 12/12/13:
1 - I got done a bunch o' maps. I have the final maze area of Area 2 to put in, there, then the foes and their stats. And, of course, slapping in treasure. Oh, and battle background. Essentially, the map layout is mostly done for that area, and then most of the rest of it comes next.
I mayyyyyyyy hold off test version 2 until area 3 is done, just because I'm sorta not in the top most mood for stat calculations right now.
That's it for this one. Refresh the page every now and again, ask questions, and you'll probably see updates.

Only 4 more rooms to make for area 2. and they're all but one a treasure room.

Fun Fact: Area 1 was only 10 maps in size.

Area 2 is 38.

So, here I was, feeling all like "I wanna make a small neat RPG" and then I was like "Merciful Mungbeans is already one of those, and I still have a nice bit of stuff to do before the HotOHR, may as well work on that", and thus I am.
Retrobanana is doing bit of music for it, and it's jusssst jazzin'. I'm currently doing foe stats for section 2 still, after that I just have a couple bits of plotscripting to put in, and then to fill any chests I haven't yet with loot and the occasional monsters. Then I'll test it, then I'll have others test it, and while they test it I'll be working on area 3, which will be rather puzzle heavy, and I'm still debating on whether or not I'm going to be doing this one spectacle part, but that'll be something I'll have to test separately. I won't lose any sleep over it failing.

If meatballsub ever comes back I'll likely have him review the second test version too. So feel free to see his opinions and views when the time comes.

I did a tiny bit o' work on this today, I'll prolly do a wee bit more later today or this weekend. I'm debating on whether or not I'll release the game for the HotOHR or not, I suppose I'll wait until late so retrobanana can get whatever other tunes he wants done for it by then, and it'll give me time to maybe get at least 75% of it done.
Goes to show, plan to have something out in half a year, and it'll take 2+ years to finish.
