That's all for tonight, and I think that's all for the monsters I'm gonna add to the game.
Next up will be attack drawings and plans, then sound effects.
And plotscripting will be in there somewhere, I've not much to script, just a gameover, gamestart, gameend, boss 1, boss 2, boss S, and maybe one or two others.
I'm pretty happy with the way most monsters turned out for this game. Hopefully you all will get a kick out of them as well when I release the game.

Tis a new year, and I retorn from my vacation and such. Work shall commence once more and I will try to get this game on its way out. I have a few dandy thoughts that I'd like to try, so be sure to keep an eye on things!

Progress report: I've almost finished weapons. I've The Bows to make, and that's pretty much it. I'm probably not going to add spears, as I was thinking of putting some in.

Name of spells:
Ice: Cool, Chill, Freeze
Single-target skills with chance to freeze.

Fire: Burn, Blaze, Torch
Multi-target skills

Lightening: (unknown)
Powerful random-target skills

Ray: Ray, Beam, Blast
Non-elemental resistance-piercing skills

Single-Heal: (unknown)
strong single-target heal skills

Multi-Heal: Warmth, (unknown else)
weak multi-target heal skills

How about for Lightning: Kilowatt, Megawatt, Gigawatt? Or perhaps Shock, Discharge, and Bolt?

I don't even know if you're looking for suggestions, but I thought I'd give my two cents anyway.

Hmmmm, excellent suggestions...

Glow would pertain more toward the one character's skill set itself (in name), as the character with lightening skills has the single target heal skills.

Oh, by the way, progress is happening tonight.
I'm doing attack animations for spells.
Fire's already done, and I think I'm going to be doing Lightening next as I have a special two-part animation for it.
Then comes Ice.

Then Ray and healing. Then power boosts.

Ice spells eh?... Frost Ray, Chill Touch, Ice Breath, Ice Wall, Frost Cone, Freeze Orb, Polar Ray, etc?

Lol, nothing that fancy. As stated above, they're called Cool, Chill, and Freeze.
Though I may keep some of those names in mind for another day and another project.

I'm done with attack spell animations!
The way each spell is made is there's the smallish low level spell, then there's the larger version of it, and the final form is a really large and fancied up version. This is more apparent with Gigajolt and Freeze than the others, though.

I got done defenses and strengths boosts type things.
I'm going to make debuff versions next, but all the animation type things are completed with it.

Also, I have 3 "wasted a turn" skills added. Only one of them is complete as is ("It stares off into space..."), but the others I want to add sound effects to. I'm thinking of duplicating one for the purpose of the type of sound effect it'll have shall change dependent on the monster that makes it.

Tonight, I got done some moves that may come as minor spoilers, so...

I made the move that the final boss and secret use to summon their tentacles. It's in four separate moves, but it successfully summons the tentacles.

Aside from that, I've worked a way for "metal" monsters to work in the game. Not only that, they have a unique battle theme from the common foe.
I've also added a "call help" power for some foes to use so they may summon more monsters during a fight.

And I've changed the intro area from battle for storm hill, from SSBB (I think) into some music from some game I most likely don't really care about, but the music seems a bit fitting for now. Also, I'm sick of storm hill.

Oh, and I made a flee ability for foes to use to escape you and cheat you out of your exp and points. Just fight wisely and you won't have this happen!

edit: Oh, and I have plans for giving some minor animation to the final boss by having him change looks when he's about to use a super move. This will serve as a warning to try and nail him with something to stop his attack.

works to be done today. first up is importing the first sound effects, three seperate voice clips! And they're all laughter. One is crazy thing laugh, one is scary thing laugh, and the other is boastful laugh. Yay laugh.
