REad what she wrote on the resume before you do something ridiculous.

You file the paper in your pouches, then return to the station and catch the next train. You have a vacation to go on!



While you ride, you extract the paper and examine it. On the back an e-mail address is handwritten. Cool! Against all odds, you successfully made a friend out of an acquaintance today!

Feeling a little guilty and stalkerish, you turn the resume over and read the front. It is page 2 of a 3 page document, but you do learn that Mara has a masters degree, and was definitely way-overqualified for her last job.

You remember what she said, and wonder about it. She thinks that you got downsized too, but that isn't true! ...is it?

Greet fellow traveler in a gentlemanly manner.

"Hey, mister! That is a nice hat! Why is it so tiny?"



The elephant shoots you the crazy eye and switches to a different seat.

Touching strangers on the train? Maybe not the best idea...

Leap upon head of Prof. Elephantos and devour his keepsake hat.

Yes, check for underwear while harassing the elephant more.

...speaking of which, you did bring your wallet with you, didn't you?

You steel yourself for action, coiling like a caged beast, preparing to spring up and snatch that tiny, tiny hat from the head of that rude, ungreatful...



No, calm down. That is crazythink. No tiny hat is worth getting tazed again. That elephant would call the cops on you before his hat had even warmed your fuzzy ears.

You practice your even-breathing excercizes, and try to think of something else. Did you pack everything you need? Did you pack clean underwear and socks?



Of course you did! You are proud of your packing ability! You packed 10 underpantses, and 12 pairs of tube socks... AND THAT IS ALL. Well, that plus the mask and long-snorkel. You are tempted to open your suitcase and count the underwear and socks, but you decide against it because you aren't too hot on the idea of re-folding that dang long-snorkel.

Oh no! You've forgotten your swimsuit. Well, this is embarrassing.

Well, you can figure that out later. Right now, you'd better mentally rehearse your swim lessons.

Actually, it might be better to act out your swimming lessons while laying down on the train seat. You have plenty of room now that you've made that elephant leave.

You flop over on the seat and stretch out. The seat is all nice and warm where the elephant guy was sitting.

You think about swimming. This will be sort of a working vacation, since you are volunteering on a scientific vessel, but you are confident that when your work is done there will be plenty of time for play. Work hard, play hard! You plan to do some swimming! Naturally you will be skinny-dipping. No swimsuits for you, no sir! No speedo's for this fuzzy tush!

You practice your backstroke in the air.
