Oh hey, Dispel Sprays are now optimal for insta-kills the moment your opponent slaps a contract on slimeself. Zombie

Interesting. I guess if I really wanted to use contract safely I would go into battle with a thief glove.

Dispel spray is pretty awesome. If it didn't take up your equipment slot I would say it is overpowered... but since it does, I think it is still (barely) okay.

Dispel Spray is a really good attack! But there's some good competition for the held item slot now. It doesn't see a whole lot of action outside of James.

Incidentally, OMEGA won't use Contract if you're holding a Dispel Spray.

Speaking of competition, my 'Idiot Stick' is crying.
Everything else seems to fulfill some kind of purpose and functionality, but the Idiot Stick only gives a weaker version of Head Trauma.
(I think it destroys brain cells more often, but I haven't experienced that enough to tell.)

It seems like an item that was used to test a few mechanics but was shortly forgotten Sad

(Actually, I can't remember how much I actually paid for the thing, so its ability might actually match its price?)

Idiot Stick has an 80% stupid rate, whereas Head Trauma only rarely knocks off any Int. But I agree that it does seem underpowered.

What if I changed the effect (for both attacks) to 10% of Int rather than 10 Int and changed the success rate to 100% for Idiot Stick?

Being able to combo that with Stupefy/Shrink Ray sounds like it could be really interesting. Hurr

[Edit] After doing the math, it actually doesn't make any difference if you combo those permanent effects in because they're percentage based. Surprised

Is there a move that damages AGI? If so, what is it? If not, why not?

Yes, there's Jiggle, Super Shock, Shrink, and others.

There's no permanent Agi damage because then you'd never have a reason to damage your opponent's HP. I'm not actively looking for ways to completely break the entire battle system.

Because of its permanence, 10% sounds like a whole heck of a lot.

I guess since that would be 10% of current and not 10% of max, it wouldn't be game breaking...

It would take 6 hits to get you down to half your Int (90%, 81%, 72%, 64%, 57%, 51%). Meanwhile, you're doing a lot more damage in that time.

Besides, this actually makes the Idiot Stick weaker when Int < 80. It does make it an interesting counter to Meditation, though.

I think I've talked myself into this change.

I fail to see your point regarding AGI damaging moves. Int is much more vital when it comes right down to disabling your enemy. Without Int then get no MP and become unable to attack you. Without Agi they go last, take more damage and lose some moves.
