Thoughts on Mega Man X. Not Mega Man 10. I haven't reviewed that one yet! In this review, I praise the awesome music and game design but complain about the dumb and boring story. I also turn into an old man and grouch about game prices back in the day.

I remember loving this game. It was easy compared to the NES titles, but so was Link to the Past compared to the original Zeldas and it was also still a great game.

Getting the armor upgrades was great, and so was searching every stage for the 'heart' piece. It was also cool how some stages changed depending on what OTHER stages had already been completed. I liked this touch, and it took me a few times to even realize what had happened.

Really great PS4/Vita arcade game. Totally nuts, very disorienting. For anyone who liked Pac-Man CE.

A Smash Bros 3DS review. Game's good, online play stinks, wish I could have been more positive. Wait for the Wii U version instead.

Shinji Mikami's new game. Not as good as the last ones he directed, still good.

That link is really weirdly broken, and it's broken on the blog too.

So I just wanted to pop in and mention that I watched a stream of the first hour or so of Octodad the other day, and I'm pretty sure that game would break me with FEELINGS. The amount of care and love that obviously went into everything about that game kind of blows me away. This on top of the mind-boggling sense of what 'gameplay' can mean. I remembered Surlaw mentioning that he reviewed this, and looking back there wasn't really much discussion about it on this thread at that time.

PS: Bought a wiiU a week ago, getting pumped for 8way Smash = infinite chaos.

Octodad's still in my top five games of the year. It's super replayable and the developers released an hour of new DLC story content for free. No one does that anymore.

When Smash U's out we'll have to organize some games. I don't think we need friend codes anymore! I should just be in there as Surlaw.

System finally got good too. 3D World, Kart, Smash, Bayonetta 2 are all crazy good and people seem to love Donkey Kong on Ice and some really like Hyrule Warriors.

Have you slimes seen Birdman yet? I wouldn't call it a perfect movie, but it is awesome. Not cheerful though. The humor is dark (and great), the idea and the execution are both super-solid. Don't want to spoil anyone, so I won't say more just yet.

In other news, those jerks at RedLetterMedia did a video on playing Zelda2. The one guy had a couple of interesting things to say about the game on a thematic level, but neither of them seemed to really enjoy it. Which is sad.

Smash this Friday! If people are going to be around this weekend, I'd probably be down for playing some rounds with a crew.

Birdman rules, I'll have a review up soon. Maybe. It's one of my 20 unfinished reviews Sad

Definitely getting Smash Friday, Wii U name is Surlaw and we can add friends now without needing FRIEND CODES!! I'm going to Dedede all over the place.

My WiiU name is Also. I just want to be Pacman so I can drop fire hydrants all over Hyrule Castle. I mean, what do Hylians do if there's a fire??

Online mode works way way better than on the 3DS, but still doesn't let you send invites directly and still doesn't let you play Stock with a random group, only Time.
