Haha, I'm just messing around, obviously you should review whatever you want. I had fun with Food Fight on Atari; I didn't realize it was actually an arcade game. I'm trying to remember, there was one food that inexplicably never ran out, I think it was watermelon?
I actually liked the basic gameplay concept of Simon's Quest and the openness of exploration, but the execution of the 'puzzles' was awful, at least as I remember it (kneel with correct orb picked?).
The Simpson's arcade game was awesome, definitely got excited as a kid when an arcade had it.
Roger Rabbit made no sense, but it was sort of interesting. It was funny that Ed Valiant could get killed by a walking pair of shoes. Some of the item uses were really bizarre, but it's sometimes fun in a Maniac Mansion kind of way, I guess...?

Oh man, Wario Land was one of my first gameboy games, and I've loved it ever since. I like SML2 but Wario Land is my gaaaame man. I think it's actually the first game I ever finished too.
The music is a bit farty though, hahaha.
Wario Land 4 on the GBA is simply one of the best platformer games in existence. It flows much MUCH better than the original, has fantastic and strange music, and is just...great. It's one of my favorite games, ever.
It might interest you to know that the composer for Wario Land 4 was the same composer as Metroid 2. The music is entirely different, but it has the same sort of atmospheric effect, albeit in a musical and non-spacey way. It's one of my favorite soundtracks ever too.
I'm gushing now.

Simon's Quest is almost 100% great ideas, terrible execution. There's no excuse for how stupidly the puzzles were translated, even on the NES. At least I can beat it though, I can't make it anywhere in Castlevania 3.
These Wario Land sequels all sound a lot better than the first game.

My only real issue with this game is how short it is. At least, I remember it being short. Regardless, I'm still looking for the game cart itself.

I don't think this needs its own thread so I'll just post it here: WayForward is releasing a remake of the NES DuckTales game for $15 this summer and it looks perfect, I'm thrilled, time to review the old game.

Okay, now I'm curious, what makes this game based on a tv show so good that it's not only well reknown, but getting a remake?

Great stage design, fantastic music, a unique way of fighting, perfect control and physics. It's one of the most well made NES platformers regardless of being a licensed game, though honestly most of Disney's licensed games from those years are extremely high quality. It runs off of a modified Mega Man engine and you can tell.

While I'm honestly surprised it's getting a remake (especially considering Duck Tales itself isn't even around anymore), the original game is really well done. Basically, imagine Mario crossed with Megaman.
I just sat down and played a bit and holy crap I don't remember this game being so hard.
Just replayed the NES version and yeah it still rules and it's nuts that you get no continues, but it's not bad once you learn the stages. Some of them dump 1ups on you.
I'll review it this week. In the meantime, EAT THIS Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

Dude, I'm, like, the town Ms. Pac-Man champ. Back when we used to have a pizza hut, I used to destroy any score posed and I got better and better over the course of time...then they went out of business....
They had an arcade cabinet of it at a Dairy Queen here too, and it was in hyper-speed mode, but they went out of business before PH did. It's a shame, I think they also had a centipede cabinet too if I remember right.
Restaurants need arcade cabinets again.
At least there's a local place that has it's own arcade that opened in more recent times, doesn't have classics like centipede and ms. pac-man, but they do have Golden Axe: Return of Death Adder in which my friend and I try and see how far we can get on one go.

I never owned this one, and I honestly don't remember playing it. I must have, because I remember the concept of pogo'ing around to kill bad guys, but I don't really remember the game itself. Reading this makes me think of another cartoon game though. Does anyone remember Chip n Dale's Rescue Rangers? I do remember renting and enjoying that game, and getting killed by crabs maybe?

Rescue Rangers is great and I REALLY thought I owned a copy, but looking around it seems I don't. I definitely want to find that one.
