More bugs:

*The lava pool is northwestern corner of Searflesh Sea does not cause damage.
*Wave weapons still cause wave damage even if they miss. Is this intentional? Also, is the wave attack meant to trigger each time the weapon is used. If so, that's incredibly powerful.
*The thorn enhancement is terrible. Occasionally, instead of causing normal damage, it initiates damage over time. The damage over time should start in addition to the regular hit and it should happen more frequently, maybe even every attack.
*The hunter's mending skill heals you at first, but it triggers once or twice more afterwards, and hurts you those times.

Moar Bugs!

More bugs:

* Returning to the Ancient Cave after clearing it randomly results in the screen "unlocking" from your lead character and "locking" onto whatever the screen happens to show at that point (IE it centers on a random part of the map... and then stays there). I can wander off the edge of the screen while moving around the area. Reloading the save does not help. Loading ANOTHER save does not help. Leaving the area again and returning (I used the Wizard's Warp to do it) does not help and will sometimes result in other problems. See below. After this bug happens once it will randomly begin happening on other maps as well (Castle Goldorak, Sky Temple confirmed).

* Sometimes going to an area will result in the entire screen being painted with one tile. This then carries over to every single other area.

* I agree about the Ninja. Disarming traps (at least right now) is counterintuitive and difficult to understand. Chests are never marked as trapped even when they are. I have never been given the option to attempt a disarm... the trap always triggers. Massively frustrating since that was the main reason I brought the ninja along in the first place.

I want to note that I really like playing this game. I was a good hour into the game the first time the screen bug happened, ended up having to start again. Not a big deal until it happened the second time...

Pleeeease fix this stuff ><

Posted this in the Heart of the OHR thread also, but here it is in this one:

I've beaten the entire swamp dungeon so far and have moved on to the Sky Garden, where I've found what seems to be a bug or at least a forgot-to-fill-out-an-NPC error. There's a chest near the top edge of the map, close to the exit teleporter leading to the place with the eagles, that does absolutely nothing (it just disappears from the screen when you check it, no "this chest was empty" message or trap or anything.)

EDIT: Found another one, in the tiny room in the Tower of Zambot with two chests and a third chest behind a hidden passage. The one in the hidden passage was also a do-nothing chest when I found it just a little while ago.

This sounds like it could possibly be an engine bug, and not a game bug. I would definitely like to know more about it. I haven't seen this bug yet.

Is it possible that you accidentally pressed the F6 key while walking? F6 is a (nearly useless) debug key. If you hold it while walking, the camera unhooks from the lead hero. Pressing F7 will fix it, (although pressing F7 while the bug is NOT happening can cause a crash because of a different bug)

I am going to completely remove the F6 and F7 debug keys from the nightly wip version of the OHRRPGCE engine. They do more harm than good :)

This sounds like exactly what would happen if the camera got unhooked with F6 and then you walked through a door to a smaller map than the one you were in before. Is it possible that is what happened?

Hamster,

I tested what you said and it seemed to fix it. You're probably right. I recently cleaned my keyboard and I think I got moisture inside the keypads because it now causes other buttons to be pushed along with certain keys randomly (n causes me to type 7, c causes 8). It's possible one of my normal buttons "pushes" f6 now.

There is one issue with this idea. I usually have F Lock key turned off for exactly this reason and I am pretty sure it was off the last time the bug happened.

I will test more to see. For now your suggestion seems to have fixed it. Thanks much!

Confirmed you were right Hamster. My right arrow key is now auto-pushing F6. Apparently it doesn't matter if I have the F-lock on or not. ARGH. Thanks for the fix.

MOAR BUGZ:

* Siphoning weapons will siphon even on a miss. The siphon seems to randomly be either +1 hp or the normal siphoning amount for actually hitting your target.

* On a related note, weapons are not siphoning the amount given by the game (15% of damage). Seems to be around 10-13%. A hit of 380 healed 41 HP (11% of dmg).

* If a character is stunned while you have either (a) already set an action for them or (b) are selecting a target for an action (NOT SELECTING AN ACTION), the action will still be performed even though you have the stun icon on your character.

* The look command (L) will occasionally bring up a debug-type window (another engine problem related to my keyboard perhaps).

Harlock: you should be able to fix this one by setting the "Cancel target's attack" bitset on any stunning attacks.

If this happens again, can you post a screenshot of it?

Without looking at it, it sounds like your healing is applying armor.

I haven't got anything to host the image. It's an all-black screen that says Debug_Mode with what looks like a line of binary machine language and a line of hex below it.[/img]

Oh, I'll bet that is the F8 or F9 debug keys. I am afraid you need a new keyboard, my friend! (or maybe hit the existing one with a hair-dryer)

For future reference, http://imgur.com/ is the easiest way I know of to post screenshots and link them here.

So... I just started playing this, and I am immediately filled with regret.

Why did I not start playing this sooner?

There have been precious weeks of my life that were needlessly spent without the experience of having played DUNGEONMEN: Men of Dungeons. This is a great game, you guys.

I'm hooked. I was going to play this just 30 minutes, and about 2 hours later I realized I overshot that a little bit. It's really really good.

Anywhere I can download the soundtrack? It's very good.

I found what may possbily be a bug. In the boss battle with Phyrgos VI, the "Curse of Phyrgos" does damage to the player, mutes the player, and then HEALS a great deal of damage to the player. Not sure if that's working as intended.
