Petit Computer allows gamers to write BASIC games and apps on the 3DS. Any chance this means we could see OHR re-created on a DS system without having to hack that system?

That looks pretty cool, but there is zero chance of being able to compile complex freebasic code with c extensions and libraries on Petit basic.
