Just thought I'd revive this, is anyone else in for sure?

(Not sure what I think of the interesting races though V Might be better to stick with SRD races.)

Righto! Just roll me up a level 3 character using SRD then. Soon as I've got your character, I'll bring you into the game.

Expect it within 24 hours.

Edit: What's the point buy for stats?

Edit 2: My character is going to be a Princess who ran away from home to pursue her dream of being a professional wrestler.

Edit the third:

I went with a thirty point buy, which might be a bit high, but I'm also a monk. I have a backstory, but I'm not able to spend much time on it right now, so expect it later.

Questions:

I would like to be able to German Suplex, etc. There are no rules for this that I can find. House rule?

I would like to have a butler. Should I just hire a commoner for that, mechanically?

Can I still join playing? Or am I to late?
I've never played D&D before, so I don't know the rules.

Sure you can join, what kind of character are you looking to play? I can walk you through character creation once you've got an idea of what you're going to roll.

With regards to the butler, yeah, I think you'd just have a commoner servant.

As for the German Suplex, how's this:

German Suplex

To perform an German Suplex, you must first be successfully grappling with your opponent.

To initiate the Suplex, perform an opposed strength check with your opponent. All normal size bonuses and penalties apply. You can only perform a Suplex on an opponent that falls within your maximum carrying capacity.

A successful Suplex renders the opponent Dazed for 1d2 rounds and is Prone. In addition, the Suplex deals 1d8 non-lethal damage. The opponent also receives an additional 1d6 non-lethal damage for every size category it is above Medium.

Edit: Mogri, could you give the two of them access to the campaign? Thanks.

Sounds awesome. Hopefully I can learn some other moves as the campaign progresses, and maybe even a finisher.

I've updated my character sheet with the backstory. It's pretty silly, but that should be expected from the Pro Wrestling Princess gimmick. Hopefully Wrestlephrenia can happen in the campaign V

Here's my Butler's (or "Manager"'s) character sheet: http://www.thetangledweb.net/forums/profiler/view_char.php?cid=62306

He's basically this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoWhA5RNjH8

Thank you for helping me with character creation. Grin

I'd like to play someone who throws knifes at a market for money, or a jester or acrobat or something like that.

A rogue then. Any idea what race you want to play? Here's a good list to choose from.

Once you've gotten that, I can show you how to roll a character. Alternatively, I could roll one for you.

I'd like to be a human.
Can my character use magic? It's just an idea.

Ah, you want a bard then. Bards can use magic, inspire their companions, and go toe-to-toe with the enemy if they should need to.

Are you planning on being more melee-oriented? Magic-oriented? Support? Ranged combat? Or something else?

I'd prefer to be 'role-play oriantated', talking to others, ect rather than fighting.
I guess magic sounds good or focusing on healing wounds. If others are fighting they might need someone wirth healing skills?

Aha, a role-player! Great, the campaign is fairly role-play intensive, though I must admit my combat segments do tend to get a bit brutal, and we don't have a healer.

As a bard, you'd have access to diplomatic skills, which could be augmented by your magic and your bard-powers. In that role, you'd be more of a support character in combat, though out of combat, you'd be well suited to talking your way out of situations, or getting your way with people.

If you want to try to generate your own character, I would suggest this tool as it will automatically restrict your choices to what's allowed. Alternatively, I could roll one for you now and then explain what I did and why, so that next time around you'll be able to make your own D&D character.

A bard character sounds good. I like roleplay intensive stories. Smile
I'd like to be a healer/have healing skills, because you have none.

If you could roll the character for me, I'd be happy. And if you explain how to do this, than I'll also lern how to make a character for the next time. Grin
