Viridia: Expedition (Development Thread)

Yeah, and I'm so behind on updating it, it's ridiculous. I really need to get to work on Chapters 2 and 3 as soon as possible.

The thing that people forget, and why it's a tricky one to evaluate as far as scale goes, is that the labyrinth is actually very simple to navigate if you overlook the mind trick it plays on you in the beginning. The only reason why it's so extensive to navigate is because it makes you think you have to travel south initially, when if you walk against the footprints, you're literally one path over from the exit. You're also vastly underequipped if you do that, hence the need for the misdirection, but the labyrinth can be solved in about twenty seconds if you go the opposite direction at the get-go. If you're not playing mind games on Mt. Garra, then you'll definitely need those distractions to keep it interesting.

And I'm confident you can pull that off because the equipment tent you had in Viridia Chapter 2, as simple as it seemed on the surface, was one of my favorite equipment moments in a game for the detail you put into it. I'm sure you can make Mt. Garra interesting.
