Don't you even think of implementing this, James! Splines are my cup of tea. Maybe I can figure out how to do some reticulation too, but only if Mogri promises to make a game

But I have the greatest implementation idea! I'll just allocate an array that holds the pre-calculated pixels for every conceivable spline that can fit in an 80x80 grid!

Brilliant! I can't see how that could possibly go wrong V

"Reticulating splines" appears in the loading screen of every Maxis game since SimCity 2000 as a fictional step in the load process.

Ah, that would explain it. I've never played a SimCity game. Ever. I know minus geek points for me, hehe.

Skyfall's coming.

I'm going to have the same request as well. Really I'd like to see all values throughout the engine eventually accessible/changeable with plotscripting, but items are most important for me right now, I think.

Okay, cool. So, we've got one new release and our first ever OHR Legends release, all in less than a month. If anyone would like to update the Heart of the OHR 2012 wiki, that would be nice (I don't edit wikis, so it won't be me).

New Releases:
Universal Wars

OHR Legends:
Vikings of Midgard

Fenrir, am I to assume that this update has actual new content, or is it just a giant bugfix?

Guys, don't be afraid to talk about the games that get released. Every author has plenty of time to fix, polish, and add to their released games. Rereleasing a new game within the contest window doesn't turn it into a rerelease, just to reiterate the categories. Universal Wars will always be a new release for this contest no matter how many times it gets updated before November 30th.

Both. I used to be able to speedrun through the game in 4 hours or so, with the Ypsiliform version (2010). It now take me 7 hours, give or take.

And I am STILL FINDING BUGS Mad

I will be putting a game into this.

You will travel deep space on a quest to get rich. The game will have free-roaming game play with a ridiculous number of things to do. I would say that I'm about 1/2 done with it, although I've been moving really slowly.

The battles in this game take so long to finish, I found the time to find this thread, find your post, and reply to it in the middle of a boss fight. Seriously, up the speed a little, man!

EDIT: In its current state, the game is unplayable. I ran from every battle because they were literally taking minutes to complete when they should have only taken seconds (the aforementioned boss took at least 5 minutes of nothing but spacebar-holding and occasional healing), which ended up screwing me over for the immediate next boss that the story totally didn't prepare me for. Honestly, if friends and foes are just going to appear out of thin air, why do you even bother with a story? Speaking of unnecessary things, why does the forest map exist? It's just a really long straight walk from one point to another with absolutely nothing in between. If you don't have anything interesting or useful to put between two towns, then just link the two towns to each other. And speaking of useful, the equipment items in-game are anything but. You'll be lucky if anything boosts a stat by more than one to three points.
I have no idea if there was anything of interest past the surprise second boss, since this is a demo and all, but I am not touching this game again unless the game's battles are completely, thoroughly re-done from the bottom up. Speed balance is the big issue here, but strength and defense need a serious do-over too, since no one aside from the bosses and the main hero ever did significant damage with their attacks. Accuracy/dodging, for some reason, is pretty much spot-on, so don't change that. The cutscenes also function and aren't interrupted by glitches or bugs.

Viewers at home, be advised that the title screen / sole screenshot on the game's download page has nothing to do with the game itself.
