I almost did this last year, but TMC talked me out of it because of (very good) compatibility reasons. this plan is what I was going to do, but we agreed that it would be better to this plan first.


In retrospect, I showed off the walktall script demo to a few friends and they were just FLOORED by how much nicer it made the presentation of some OHR games. In that light, I'd like to make that my formal request (and wait for the NEXT HotOHR for the halftile walking.
To friends long gone, and those I've yet to meet - thank you.

I would like 32'40 size sprites to be available as well to us people who are not adept with slices. So much more detail could be added with those larger sprites...

I also have a bugfix request: can you make it so that 44.1kHz oggs don't pitch-shift on import?

Hmmm... I was not aware that they did.

oggs don't get converted or transformed in any way when you import them. That means that whichever backend you are using is not playing 44.1kHz ogg files at the right speed...

..and that is especially strange, since I could have sworn that was the default rate for most ogg files (but maybe I am wrong about that)

Ichiro means 48kHz tracks. SDL_mixer plays them at 44.1kHz, decreasing the pitch a little.

Yet another reason to ditch SDL_mixer.

EDIT: James, the improved spell learning isn't Master K's feature request for HotOHR. He's still owed that feature as reward for the 48 hour contest. (Also, Giz never requested anything, though it was his right to.)

Oh, you thought that was for this? No, I'm still waiting on that feature from the last contest. I've yet to submit a feature for this contest. I'm still thinking...there isn't much left to ask for that you haven't thought of.

I'd ask for Transmogrification on Death, but you said you were already planning on doing that, right?

Hah, we're planning on doing pretty much everything sooner to later. I always felt the point of feature requests was to help us prioritise the order in which we should implement things.

Hmmm... I am afraid I don't know the first thing about splines. We do have plans to revamp the sprite editor, which would in turn make it easier to add new tools, but I don't know enough about splines to know how much work they would be to implement.

Don't you even think of implementing this, James! Splines are my cup of tea. Maybe I can figure out how to do some reticulation too, but only if Mogri promises to make a game
