Yes. I should play it. I shall do that presently.

EDIT:: I can tell you right now I'm enjoying it for the most part. I do have a few things to throw in there tho:

The pacing of the opening sequence comes off as plodding and slow. I think this might because of the lack of music. And maybe shorten one or two wait commands a tick or two. Also, there's an exclamation point that should be a question mark in there :P

I'm a fan of the Identify mechanic. Its well implemented so far, and I'm hoping it comes up some more not just in boss encounters but in randoms as well. Keep things interesting.

That said Alanna comes off quite useless early on. This is redily made apparent during a conflict I had against the tree. I hit it enough and the bees came out, and absolutely one-shotted Zack. This was before I figured out I could save at the bed, so I was worried I'd have to start over. No need to point out the bed thing tho, it's such a common RPG convention I don't know why I didn't thin of it sooner.

The trees and grass sort of blend into each other, but other than that I like the art style you're using. Perhaps if the grass looked less...busy I guess would be the word. Something simpler would do nicely.

That's my current two cents. I'm not even on the second map yet tho.
—- So anyway, how are you?

I realize. She's weaker then Zack physically, but magically she's better. She learns spells throughout the game. Keep on playing, there's more to come...

(plus if you get a BRSword from the first fight, and equip her with it, she won't suck all that much....)

Theres a slight chance to get a non broken rune sword. And a chance to get nothing at all!

Oh, and if you do get the Broken Rune Sword, hold on to it. It's one of a kind, and when Smithing gets implemented, it'll be repairable and upgradeable.

I have a feature request! And I will be requesting Force next attack.

Right now, if you want to pretend you have a Berserk-like attack, you chain an attack to itself with some sort of delay. But what if you want the delay to depend on the user's speed? Tough luck, can't do it.

Now, pretend we have a theoretical "Force next attack" setting. This will force the target to use the specified attack on its next turn. Suddenly, you can do a for-reals Berserk effect: a standard attack that chains to a self-targeting "force next attack" to repeat the same attack.

But wait, there's more!

Other theoretical uses for this setting include:

Confusion: Make a "Confuse" attack that forces the target to use an ally-targeting attack.

Advanced AI: Right now, you can only make enemies pick a random attack from a list. By forcing the enemy to use a certain attack next, you can give it a more intricate (or more predictable!) AI that doesn't depend on chains.

Scripting: Have enemies talk to each other. Take control of heroes in cutscene-style battles. Do everything you ever wanted to do with your battles with one simple feature!

Naturally, this means I will attempt to enter this contest. Grin

@Mogri: interesting. I'll have to think about how implementation would work, but that is not a bad idea. It seems like it would allow a lot of fake-battlescripting, but would still remain useful after battlescripting is implemented.

@MasterK: okay!

I already made this request earlier. Just saying that you might want to think of another one.
