I have a feature request! And I will be requesting
Force next attack.
Right now, if you want to pretend you have a Berserk-like attack, you chain an attack to itself with some sort of delay. But what if you want the delay to depend on the user's speed? Tough luck, can't do it.
Now, pretend we have a theoretical "Force next attack" setting. This will force the target to use the specified attack on its next turn. Suddenly, you can do a for-reals Berserk effect: a standard attack that chains to a self-targeting "force next attack" to repeat the same attack.
But wait, there's more!
Other theoretical uses for this setting include:
Confusion: Make a "Confuse" attack that forces the target to use an ally-targeting attack.
Advanced AI: Right now, you can only make enemies pick a random attack from a list. By forcing the enemy to use a certain attack next, you can give it a more intricate (or more predictable!) AI that doesn't depend on chains.
Scripting: Have enemies talk to each other. Take control of heroes in cutscene-style battles. Do everything you ever wanted to do with your battles with one simple feature!
Naturally, this means I will attempt to enter this contest.
