Haha, but this discussion has finally turned into a true GAME. I've tasted a fair number of beers and disliked pretty much all of them, but there was enough creative variety that I'd say there's a certain art to the brewing. If you think of (some) cooking as art, I'd say you have to view (some) brewing in the same way.

Personally, I don't really drink any booze. Nothing against alcohol really, I find it tastes rather tasty, but I just don't. Though I do use it for cooking adobo, yummy...


In fact, I shall now go buy some beer and chicken to make chicken adobo! Yum yum yum...


But yeah, I don't see why brewing couldn't be considered an art if cooking is also considered an art. On the other hand, some foods (mass-produced, processed food) can't really be called an art IMHO. But a well-made meal, with care put into it would indeed by art. Rather than the visual, you'd be dealing with the subtle blend and layering of flavors. Well, there would be the visual aspect, but the taste is the larger part of it.
