Yesss... I'm back. I've taken quite a bit of a leave due to... other projects at hand. As I'm sure many of you still know, I'm the one who's trying to get a particular sci-fi shooter-based game off the ground. As of now, I'm having a bit of a mapper's block.

I wish my first thing ye've heard from me in a few months wouldn't have to be a favor, but it looks like it. Sorry if I come across as a jerk or anything.

I'm also hoping that MJohnson is still around, to see if he's wanting to still help out with coding stuff. I'm in an absolute pickle with that'n. And since he was the guy behind a LOT of the coding responsible for the great little stat and perk systems, it would be great if he came back to help out with this.

As of now, though, I ask of everyone who is a free mapper, a favor:

I seek maps. I'll provide up to 15 sets of maptiles for use, and they're in the game's data already. I'm not looking for any superb amount of detail, just have them make some sort of sense. Like say, if the game calls for a Containment Area, make it look as such. Or a Marine's Locker Room or something.

If anybody could help with item placement, that'd be a bonus. LOTS of stuff still needs to be placed. Healthkits, Ammo, Dropped weapons, Armor, keys, etc. Use your imagination.

If ye are able to help me out in ANY way, PLEASE let me know, and consider yourself a... John Romero, or Tom Hall, or Adrian Carmack.

So you'll email the .rpg file unpassworded and provide instructions on what maps you want?

If so, I have a night shift tonight and will spend much of that time sitting in front of a computer, and would be happy to make some maps.

Which version of custom would you like me to use? Latest nightly or most recent stable version? I don't want to make your .rpg file obsolete :P

still here, sort of. it's hard to find internet access after moving and being poor. i'm still willing to help out with the coding. i just ran into a bit of a dead end with it, mostly because i need attacks designed. we had a few things in mind (and i also figured out ways to make other things i thought were impossible, like the toxin/poison resistance perk we discussed) but ultimately, there wasn't enough planned and polished to complete the system. i can add what we have now, but it won't be much... and i'd also like to have every attack and ability ready, for balancing purposes.
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy... So here's some lunchmeat... Sandwich, maybe?
