The villains have hijacked the contest, and there is no choice to play by their nefarious game.
Choose a villain. Make a game in the style they demand. Release it before April 30th.
Fortune favors the bold, but be forewarned as your competition will be radically different from what you can imagine.
And begin!
To friends long gone, and those I've yet to meet - thank you.
Is that a sentient tooth?
I shall enter, and I have a great idea. One (or more) of the villains has made me a lucrative offer, but has requested that I keep his (or hers, or... it's) identity a secret for now.
Perfect timing too, I have my two midterms tomorrow, followed by an essay (almost completed) and then three weeks of uninterrupted laziness/game construction. What better way to pass the holidays!?

I wasn't going to enter, but I was kind of struck with an idea and let's see what happens. The process of making a newbie game is pretty enticing to me since it has been a long, long time. So I'm going to try to emulate the process with a simple personal rule set:
-I will only dedicate 1 hour a day to the game. (if that.)
-I cannot write anything down to plan it beyond implementing whatever in the game itself.
-I will upload the result of each 1 hour period to the game list if anyone wants to follow along. If I give up then the last upload will be my entry- much like all great newbie games, if I give up it will be an unfinished demo sitting around.
-My primary objective with each session will be to make as long of a game as possible.
This isn't an attempt to make another arfenhouse. I want the legit, heartfelt honesty of trying to make a game while fooling around with a bunch of stuff and hoping it all fits together. Plus I don't understand half the default OHR systems to begin with since I usually just script stuff.
Hopefully I'll put up the first upload tonight.

I'll probably run out of energy before the deadline again, but I've done three times as much today as I would have been able to do on any other day in the previous contests. I might go back and do another three hours this afternoon.
Music and Sound are already done. The music is ripped, but it's all from one source; I decided which way to go for graphics and SFX based on the style of my music.
This game will, if nothing else, show my pent-up disdain for my audience. (Or, if you prefer, play up the perceived hostility to and from myself in my early years in the community.)
I've drawn three walkabouts and two heroes so far.
The third hero is going to be a wolf man.
Remeber: God made you special and he loves you very much. Bye!

Attention, civilised peoples.
Cthulhu decrees that the most mind-scarringly horrific salad possible be made, and that furthermore the free graphics available from Hamster Republic all original graphics be commissioned for use with such a goal in mind.
Furthermore, his be-tentacled magnificence requires that I inform the contestants who are working for the other villains that they should make no concerted effort to do well in this contest, lest he smear their minds across his great cosmic microscope slide and make known their embarrassments.
Ia, ia, Cthulhu fthagn.
