It's a public thingy! Involving naming a monster.

Not entirely wanting to fill up the board here with spam about my game, but....
PUBLIC THINGY!
Because I’m not always the most brilliant name-maker, I decided to ask you folk, what would you call this guy?:

Mind you, this guy is fairly big. Just shoot me ideas here, and I’ll take whoever’s idea is the “winner” for me, and I’ll add you to special thanks in the credits!

Go ahead, you know you wannaaaaa.

You should name it "Public Thingy".

give it some mouths too, then call it a "gibbering abomination".

if you don't want to rip off D&D, you could call it "optometrist's dream patient". he must spend a lot on sunglasses during the summer.

or, if you don't want such a silly name, you could go with "eyesore", "eyecelot", "oculgoo", or "retinasty" if you want to keep an eyeball theme going on.

oh, and my girlfriend says "rufus, the travelling blob."
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy... So here's some lunchmeat... Sandwich, maybe?

There was once a thread started long ago that had the intended purpose of naming creatures when the author couldn't think of a good one for himself. The mirrored thread on Castle Paradox had more hits than the one on Slime Salad, but it's a shame that neither was ever really used much. That's what we get when we don't sticky things:

Castle Paradox version:

Slime Salad version:

And I second "oculgoo."

Considering the kind of enemy it is, I wouldn't call it that...buuuuuuuut, I could name a certain other character that in the game, bonus points to her.

iBlob, Hexeyes, Eyegloop, Purple Heyes, Lazy Eyes, I.C.Pain, Great Eye'd Devourer.

I gave several varying degrees of silly and sensible as I'm uncertain of the feel you're going for Smile

It kind of reminds me of a D&D monster called a Gibbering Mouther.

Only, it has no mouths, so it can't very well be called a mouther can it? So maybe a play on that?

Like just Gibbering?

Or Gibbering Eyes

Gibbering No-Mouther?

My first thought was that it looks like a shoggoth (...which I'm guessing is what the Gibbering Mouther was based on, also.) Though they also usually have lots of mouths and tentacles and other random parts sticking out all over instead of just eyes.

Well, considering it doesn't have ears (and assuming it can't lip read) I'd call it whatever I pleased.

... Should my assumptions prove wrong, I think "Sir" would suffice!
