My game'll probably be a bit on the disturbing side, tho. With a story about a man who suffers from an extreme case of paranoid-schizophrenia.

Reminds me of Tilt. That game was REALLY disturbing. You could get ideas from that.

Strange painted landscapes, killing a teenage girl with a birthday candle, doing terrible things to possed statues, a large trail of blood from a church, and the crucification of Jesus all come to mind.

Are teams allowed? Or is this solo-only?

Never even thought of that.

I'd probably work solo, though. I might change my mind, but not likely.

Nah, mine's going to along the lines of: a Pink Floyd-esque character going through his life in a chronological pattern, until a car crash changes his life for the worse, giving him the conscious character known as "Mr. Death". This guy follows the character around everywhere, making his life turn worse with each passing day. In the end, he conquers him and moves on to his next host, like a parasite. "Mr. Death" is the embodiment of his Paranoid-Schizophrenia.

Oh, and forget the guitar tracks, I'll just rewrite some tablature into midi format.

If the members are willing to split the prize, I don't see any reason to not allow teams. I guess I COULD make more than one drawing, but the money and songs would have to be split. That is, if people are down with those prizes. (I'm still up for discussion on this.)

To clarify, I WILL be entering this contest. I'll probably be doing a text-based game.

made the cover art for my game...er, title screen. I think I've been listening to too much Pink Floyd. This one turned out... stranger than I expected.

You can NEVER listen to too much Pink Floyd. Looks good, man. And guitar tracks would be sweet if you end up with the time.

I'll probably just convert my guitar tablature into midi. My guitar sounds like crap right now. And until I get a cord for it to hook up to my computer, it's a no-go.

Aww, public domain music? Haha, no problem though. It's true that public domain that's placed right is better than original music that doesn't fit. Either way, ima try to stick to my own music and make it work! And despite all the downplay, I think I'm going to make a traditional JRPG with as unique a story line and battle elements I can fit in. I dunno- I just have always had a soft spot for JRPGs. Hopefully there's someone who'll appreciate my style of gameplay balance and story... although I've always had trouble getting across the emotions that I'd like to portray. Oh well, whether I win, get last, or whatever- I just wanna get a decent, actually well balanced, RPG out there. Good luck with your fancy games ;D

Handy tip: You can give your game an intro by putting an on-step NPC on the hero's starting position.

Wait, you're telling me people do this differently? The only other way I ever did an intro was having a touch-activated NPC set to high speed and "chase you" AI on the starting map.

I think I'm going to enter this game and use it as an excuse to try my hand at the whole labyrinth idea that Mogri had going. I might end up just doing something different, but I'd like to be able to try one seeing as the text-based well has dried up haha

Cardcastors: Origins
It's comprised of many quests; No definite goal.
It's in 4 colors. 5 if you count the black substitute color.

Thats all you get for now.
