Normally, you can move through layers in the tilemap editting mode with Page Up/Page Down, correct?
Well, right now I can't seem to do that. I'm using a laptop, so Page Up and Page Down are on the number pad. I've tried reloading the game and trying again, opening other games and trying there, and switching Num Lock on and off, but I still can't change layers. I didn't have this problem before upgrading to Zenzizenzic.
Does anybody have any suggestions for this?
Zenzizenzic changed the graphics backend from gfx_sdl to gfx_directx. Several people have had problems with the page up/down keys, but I've never heard before that it was gfx_directx-specific. But because of them, we added alternatives to page up/down in the map editor: CTRL+< and CTRL +>. Only available in the nightlies.
Also, you probably already eliminated this possibility, but several people have been confused before by the fact that new maps are created with only one layer, and not with 3 layers. If you are working on a new map, you need to go into the Layers screen and add the new layers first.

Yeah, the first thing I did when Page Up didn't work was to check to see if I had actually created a second layer. I had.

I downloaded the latest nightlie and tried it, and it works. Thanks, both of you.
