I have a part of the 'main' story line complete...although it probably won't be playable in the Live Like The Amish entry version of the game.
It features 4 Quests. The first one is where you learn of a special stone, and the other three are finding the shards of it. The NPC that gives this quest chain is TheCube's very own NPC (He goes by the name Quantum E.).
I just created the first capturable enemy: The Forest Fairy!
This is going to serve as a god mode enemy. It's going to be rare, have 50+ Dodge, 55 Speed, and it often runs away, which erases it's rewards...it has a 5% to have it's energies copied into a card. If you manage, however, the card heals you by 100 HP, and has a 70% chance of applying a 20 HP Heal Over Time. Considering you start with only 100 HP which might change by the release...and for a fact that at level 45 you have only 350+ health...yeah, it's powerful.

I'm super excited about playing this, BTW. So you capture the monsters and turn them into usable cards?
Quantum E is a good name, I like it. I might change my "band" name to that actually, because Quantum Eraser is already a Swedish Metal band. I don't think anyone would get us confused, but just in case.

Essentially, it has a lot of similarities to Pokemon.
There is a Card Dex which will be obtainable (At some point...). It keeps track of all the cards.
There are currently 37 Elemental Cards to obtain, and other categories. The Elemental Cards are all variations of Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Dust (Earth+Air), Mud (Earth+Water), Steam (Fire+Water), Nature (Earth+Water+Wind), and Omni (All four Elements).
Summoning Cards are only usable once. To obtain them from the wild, you need to have a plain card. You use this card on an enemy, and it can copy some of their essence and contain it into a card. Generally, they are all one use cards...well, except for very special enemies, but thats in the far future...
Don't grow too attached to your NPC, Cube, because he doesn't exactly...well, survive the entire game. The implications shall be explained in-game...

Ha ha ha awesome. The characters who die are obviously important, so this makes me happy.
I like that sprite, BTW. Trying to draw in four colors is difficult, so I can appreciate the effort that went into that, plus it looks really nice.
*Brushes dust off of thread*
Wow, this place has gotten dusty...
Anyways, i'm working on Pokemon Beige.
It's progressing quite well. I managed to do the starters hero graphics, and a few other Pokemon. All of the Gym Leaders, Elites, and the Champion all have names and types. I have written the story up to the heroes leaving their hometown to start their adventure.
EDIT: Three new Pokemon!
Blue Jay Series
10. Semplei, the Curious Pokemon
11. Bromia, the Clever Pokemon
12. Cyanoteph, the Preclusive Pokemon
