Technically no, I guess would be the answer. But unless you started making like real money on I basically guarantee that it won't be a problem. Up to you!
You can't fix stupidity.
Pokeeeemonnnn!
I have the first starter thought up: Embear, the Fire Cub Pokemon. He will be the fire type starter, and later evolves into Flambear and then...I don't know the name.
I have found a way to beat the Hero Limit. I can only have 57 Pokemon defined. I don't use 0, and 1 and 2 are the trainers. But, the other 57 shall be pre-evolutions and no evolution pokemon. When Pokemon evolve, however...i'm only going to switch their appearance, instead of actually using another hero. That way, I can beat the limit.
The first town is Kanvis Town. I have two buildings done...they're fantastic. The sheer scale of artwork I must do intimidates me...
The way i'm doing it is, I go online, find the maptiles and sprites, and look off of them. This game is going to have a LOT of tilesets.

Hmm... how are you going to do evolved forms having better stats, new moves, etc.? It'd be pretty weird if evolving didn't change anything but appearance.
I'm guessing it'd be possible (a script that checks if a Pokémon is evolved or not--maybe by "get hero picture?"--when that one levels up and adjusts its stats up a bit if it is, maybe?), but I'm wondering how you're planning on doing it.
FYS:AHS -- Swapping out some step-on NPCs for zones + each step script
Puckamon -- Not until the reserve party is expanded.[/size]

Flearbare ;D but can't you set EXP amounts manually now? And if so, couldn't you just set like level 20-21 EXP to be like a million, and also give EXP eggs that require level 20 to use, and give one million EXP? That way the stats would still only go up normally (I guess you'd have to do scripting for that, maybe) but you wouldn't have to script new moves in. Just a thought- not sure if it'd work or not.

Bearupt.
Why do you need two separate heroes for the trainers? Seems like if you're going to double up anywhere, it'd be there.
Mega Tact v1.1
Super Penguin Chef
Wizard Blocks

Not sure what's you're talking about, but the editors in the nightlies for setting experience and stat gain curves don't do anything yet. They'll very likely be functional by the next release.

Officially the third evolution of the fire starter.

...I don't know. I think it's so that there is a gender choice, and for the fact that your rivals name is going to be the other trainer.
I know you sicko's are going to abuse the naming system. Who hasn't done that in their Pokemon games...?

@MewMew: Thanks.
On an unrelated note, a terrible creation from my early days, BattleQuest RPG, is now up for downloading. Beware, it's awful!
