I've been working on a new game for the OHR engine for a few weeks now, but I found that if this game is going to get anywhere, I need people to help me out with it.
Anything would help. Even criticism. The game is available for download on the Games section of the forum. Feel free to look at the game's data, as it requires no password.
I have a good story set in motion, based on a FanFiction novel about a certain game, which this game just-so-happens to be about.
Look under "Games" for "Doom RPG", and check out what I have in there so far. If you're interested in helping, just ask. I still need a shipload of help on the mapping and scripting, mainly the intro storyline.
(Also, I surely hope this is the right forum thread to place it under. i don't want what happened on Doomworld and my post sent to "Post Hell")undefined
I'm not necessarily interested in collaborating with you, but let me say: this game is pretty tight. The graphics presentation are superb and what's there is pretty balanced and fun, and I'm not even a big fan of Doom.
Things I totally appreciate:
*The variety of appropriate sound effects and music.
*The custom fonts.
*Excellent graphics, especially those maptiles.
*Good atmosphere.
Things to improve:
*Ditch the Final Fantasy music. It doesn't fit!
*Add much more interactivity. Nearly every sign and computer terminal should say something interesting when examined.
*Where are the abilities at?
*Lost Souls are way too hard for as early as you might meet them.
Bugs:
*The space marine walkabouts have a weird aura around them when walking north.
*Some of the signs don't load text boxes when examined.
*There some missing and extraneous wallmaps in several of the maps.
*When the hangar (or whatever the 2nd room is) is overrun and you try to reenter the building with the giant H on top, you just walk on the ceiling.
If you put up some screenshots, lots more people would want to play this. It looks great. I assume you know that F12 takes a screenshot inside game.exe.

Truthfully, most of the stuff you mentioned have already been fixed in the newer version of the game. i'll have to find some other songs to replace the FF ones. I didn't like the idea of adding them myself. It was an idea one of my partners -n-dev came up with.
Anyway, after this Episode One demo of Doom was done, I was going to see if there was a way I could make a completely new one, with original everything. We had the idea of the game involving the works of HP Lovecraft. There've probably been lots of other games like this, but I guess it's still worth a shot. That, and if it is possible to sell an OHRRPGCE game, I might make enough off the game to be able to afford myself a new comp!
I need one, bad. a Win2k just isn't cuttin' it anymore...
Oh, and I'll post more screenshots soon of some new areas.

My Windows 2000 comp had it's internet capacities blown out during a storm 2 years back (along with the darn 360). I still use it to this day for OHR work XD, no internet = no distractions. I always love the way OHR games look on it too, it feels so... right.
Heh, that brought back good memories. As a side note; avoid anything with intel graphics, a computer can be £450 and still have a crap graphics card...*grumble*
