Goku's colors are orange, it is a very red orange that sometimes even appears to be red depending on the colorist, something to keep in mind.

The color of Goku's clothes varies a lot from one picture to another.

The anime tends to have the medium and more reddish oranges, while the video games generally go with a medium orange. The colored manga pages and other drawn-on-paper pictures are all over the place from almost-red to almost-yellow, and pretty much any shade of orange in between that you could think of. And of course, when he goes Super Saiyan his clothes tend to get yellower from the aura.

I'd probably go for a more medium-red orange (a lot less yellow than the sprites posted), though. That's generally the kind of color most depictions of Goku have; the very-red and very-yellow oranges come up occasionally but the medium-red-orange is the most common and probably most recognizable as "yeah, that's Goku."
Plus, starting with a not-too-yellow but not-too-red orange makes it easier to "yellowize" his clothes a bit when he goes Super Saiyan (or "red-ize" them for Kaioken) while still keeping his clothes at least partly orange.

... Yes it varies but the gold standard is a reddish orange. Here, this is how Toriyama does it.

An important note here, on Goku's gi and HOW TO DO GOOD ANIME SHADING in general, anime is shaded with HUE not just LUMINOSITY. Therefore you move between hues to shade in the suitable style.

So you think I should edit more of the colors rather than the sprite style themselves?

The sprite seems fine, I mean it could be better but I don't know your skill level so it's probably good enough.

As a general tip, and this is something that took me a long time to get, is you want to try and get the eyes closer in on the middle of the head and not far away like on the edges of the hair like you have it.

Some specific things, the gi is a bit open, close it more make the blue part sticking out at the top smaller.

The shading needs more contrast and this may be fixed by the matters of hue I mentioned, shade with a more red color. Shade his skin with a more orange color. Highlight his hair with a much brighter grey or a blue.
