it was cheap to buy when it was in alpha ($15 or so) and has raised in price since beta. considering the full game was just released not too long ago, it might be a while before there's a sale.

Does anybody have plans to translate this vast MineCraft world into an RPG game? The world is vast and would be very fun to explore in OHR, and there you could add backstories, characters, quests, etc... As the MineCraft world grows, so will the RPG version of your world.

It's been giving me thoughts about how to write a story, including little details in the dungeons that imply stuff rather than explicitly saying it.

I'm not generally a fan of goal-less games, but I've kind of "followed" minecraft because it's intriguing.

For some reason it is saying I'm still not whitelisted...I'm pretty new to Minecraft so maybe I'm doing something wrong. My "login/username" is "mballsub". I've only had the game since yesterday morning. Any ideas?

I didn't restart the server after I added you to the whitelist because I didn't think I needed to, but now I am thinking I should have. I restarted it now, so try again and let me know if it works for you.

You guys should find a way to auto-whitelist people on the forums whom have posted enough posts(to deter from whitelisting bots or one-shot posters).

Is the whitelist in the form of a text-file or can it be easily configured without some GUI app? If so, the maintainer of this website can create a small PHP script which essentially outputs the list of users whom have posted a specific amount of posts to a minecraft-compatible whitelist format.

On the minecraft server, using either Cron(*NIX systems) or Task Scheduler(Wintels) have it auto-fetch this whitelist from slimesalad and restart the server at a specific time each day. Or say, if the new user list is unchanged from slimesalad, then don't restart the minecraft server.

Can "Minecraft Pocket Edition" connect to PC servers? I don't have Minecraft for PC, but I do have it on my tablet. I'd love to explore the world you guys made, but not sure if my client is compatible.

Since there is no natural corelation between usernames on slimesalad and minecraft usernames, automation would be more trouble than it is worth. I can update the whitelist easily enough manually.

I don't think that Minecraft pocket edition can connect to PC servers. Maybe that is a planned feature for the future, I am not sure, but it doesn't work yet

The Pocket Edition, as far as I can tell, is indeed Minecraft Lite. There's a large number of features omitted from it to conserve file size and enhance performance on mobile devices. It would never be able to connect to a PC Server properly. However, I think there are separate Pocket Edition servers you (and other Pocket Edition users) can connect to.

Okay, I set myself up in the Sod House that some kind soul built. It's a very nice place with a big long tunnel leading to a labyrinth of some kind and

HOW DID THAT GET THERE

It kept following me back to my cave. I managed to kill it somehow, but goodness, there were more up on the surface! One of them blew a hole in the sod house, which I dutifully repaired.

Then I found out the Sod House builder forgot to light up the roof, which is why I kept getting ambushed every morning. I put 5 torches up there, things seem okay now. While digging I found two underground ravines that connected to form a very large angled ravine and established a guard post at its vertex. Haven't explored much of it, but
SLIMES WILL SPAWN IN THIS RAVINE. So keep an eye out for 'em.
Finally I renamed the Sod House to "Safe House" since the sod is being steadily replaced with stone back to "Sod House" since James named it and is using it as a reference in some of his maps. I'm eking out a living underground and have barely seen Creeperton, but I might move in to it (or someone else's village if there is another) eventually.

Could you whitelist my sister so that I can look around? I think her username is 'thehopper'.
