Which is better, because if the address ever has to change, I can just update creeper.hamsterrepublic.com to point to the new address.

Wow, that popped out of nowhere! Supposedly this version makes oceans smaller, I don't know what exploration is gonna be without being in a boat for hours and never seeing land. I'm... kind of scared

God, exploration is so rewarding now. No more 16,000+ oceans... wow. I poked around a bit to the south of my current mining spot and found a town in a Savanna. Coords are 2113 13166 if anyone's looking for the new wood, which is available down there in abundance.
FISHING is a hell of a lot of fun now, and I intend to spend most of my time from now on doing just that. Who needs diamonds when the fish are biting?

I popped out of a nether portal for a little while. The only new biome I ran across was a tiny one that was just packed with a ridiculous number of multicolor flowers-- it was really quite pretty. I loaded up with armfuls, went back to the nether, and sprinted all the way back to Wallachia to plant them.
I'll build a new teleporter in creeperton next, for the far-east pristine new terrain action :)

Has anyone had issues logging in since the update?
I just tried to for the first time in a few months and it's not accepting my username, saying it doesn't exist. It is getting pretty irritating to say the least.

Two things-- one, is that the 1.6 update requires you to re-download the launcher. You cannot upgrade to newer versions from the 1.5.x launcher.
Second, if you are logging in with a username rather than with an e-mail, you probably need to "migrate" your account. Mojang's faq explains how and why here: https://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/articles/775905-migrating-from-minecraft-to-mojang

I followed these directions and still can't get it to work. When I try to migrate my old account, it says that I'm entering the wrong username or password. There is no function to retrieve a lost password, ironically.
I've sent emails to Mojang, but I doubt they are going to be able to help me. They say the best way to prove that you had the full version is to give them the transaction ID. Well, considering I bought this back in alpha/beta stages a few years ago and my credit card company only keeps 180 days worth of statements, it looks like I am screwed.
