Giz posted directions to his ranch earlier in the thread. From the ranch you follow a long wooden road northeast. All of this is on the large peninsula about 2km south of the origin. On the map James posted a month ago you can see the ranch house, town, path, and one of the three sea platforms.
Hey James, would it be possible to post a new map? It's out of date now. Oxford isn't on it, and I'm currently off the edge.
So, with thanks to all those who have helped with the build, I'm fairly content to say that the structural work on Oxford is complete. I still need to furnish it completely (thanks to TMC for laying the carpets!), and I want to add more points of interest, but this is at least representative of the finished product.
What to expect next:
+ Another college, made out of red brick (based on the real Keble College, Oxford)
+ A village across from the bridge - 'cause it would be fun!

Over the last few weeks I haven't been playing as much and I have noticed various missing things, including my prized record.
Now I guess perhaps the record was just eaten by a server error (I'd hope so); the missing things are troubling. I do appreciate I wasn't totally pillaged but stealing supplies isn't exactly cool.
So please, unless a treasure box explicitly states "TAKE STUFF", or somebody gives you permission, don't go taking from peoples stashes.

A 1x zoom map of practically the whole world! Thanks James, now nothing will escape my attention :)
Funny that Baconlabs didn't complete his B.
Shiz, you are missing more than just the disc? :( BTW, I guess I didn't properly convey that your raising the rail line was a pleasant surprise; I felt guilty about the whole thing.

the last time i logged on i noticed that a good portion (practically the entire middle part) of my giant tree was erased. all that's left is the tree trunk, and the temple floating in the air.
Nice! And my hosting company already upgraded the server to 1.1
I remember noticing the mangled treehouse. I like to imagine that five or six creepers chased somebody up the ladder, but I guess the lightening theory is most plausible.
I wonder if somebody took Shizuma's record without realizing how hard they are to come by. I hope we will find out who has it and they will willingly get it back. I wonder if player's inventories are stored in the client or on the server? If it is the later, there might be a hacking tool that would let us inspect a backup copy of the world.

If so, that basically means whoever doesn't confess now is gonna get found out sooner or later. I'll go ahead and say I stole precisely four slimeballs from random chests in this server to make Sticky Pistons which were immediately used for the maze beneath Oxford. Two were from James's chest (and I'll find a way to pay you back), the others were from an unmarked chest somewhere else. Also, whenever I get blown up by Creepers, I have a bad habit of taking a little wood and cobblestone from the nearest chest, regardless of its owner.
So, Shizuma, if your unspecified lost supplies happen to include wood, stone, or slimeballs, that might have been me, and I apologize.
All right, time to play around in 1.1! It's like a new game

Wow, I had always thought that that was intentional: a floating treehouse/invisible tree.
I am happy to share any of my items except my coveted Map Stash (and even those I will lend out if they are returned)
I am trying to make a point of labelling all my treasure chests with signs that say if it is okay to plunder them
Anyway, tonight I witnessed the very end of a mighty quest. four great heroes took it upon themselves to make the harsh journey back from the Sacred Mushroom Island leading a small flock of Mooshroom Cows. Their journey was epic, and I was honored to behold them.
For posterity, here they are posing at the fountain in the courtyard at Oxford after the quest was complete:

I took several pictures along the journey to deliver the Sacred Cows to their new home in Oxford. Wozzeck the Friendly Ghost did most of the herding.
After several dangerous nights of camping and telling stories, we finally made it to Oxford and immediately began breeding.
And then we came together for a group photo. I tried to get one with all 5 of us, but ended up accidentally taking a picture of James's firm buttocks.
