So that I don't rip other games music. Im looking for suggestions on what are good programs to use to create my own music for my game. I am not music illiterate but I have never tried any programs that are designed to create music.

Anvil Studio and Stephanie's PC Piano are the only programs I've ever tried to make music with; the latter doesn't work very well, and only on quite old computers. (Like, at least a decade outdated.)

I good introduction to digital music writing would be to use a tracking program. These programs provide an numeric interface that allows you to sequence bits of audio.

For instance, Modplug Tracker is a free and pretty much inclusive way to beginning writing game music.

Beyond that, most tracking programs will let you export your projects as MP3s, WAVs, etc.

Oh, this thread rose up! I was about to post something like this. Anyways, what would be a good program, easy program to make your own music? I think making some original music or remixes would be pretty cool for my own games, or PD. At least then, people who may play my game will not recongnize some music, or recognize a remix.
