Sure enough, I'll bet that would be easier, after I train myself to it...
You do know why them QWERTY keyboards are so popular? [/hyperbole]

Yes, the nightly will work, but the bugs I am most interested in squashing right now are all related to the gfx_directx backend and the music_sdl backend.

Bug 469. I don't see an improvement there (though I only tested that one MIDI you attached), but the one thing that the newer SDL_mixer.dll does fix is removing hiccups at the end of looping music other than MIDI. (However, I'm going to have to replace it to fix small sound effects being garbled.)
The latest RC/nightly build has more gfx_directx fixes. This should fix the graphical glitches caused by the taskbar, and it should fix the slowness that was happening after alt+tabbing away from and back into the program.
Confirmation of these fixes would be much appreciated

Today's RC build is expected to be the final one! This is your last chance to do last minute testing before Zenzizenzic releases!
Also check out the nifty new last-minute feature that allows you to compile a plotscript simply by importing it, No need to run hspeak.exe yourself! :)

I assume we have to write in Hamster Whisper for this to work?
If this could also import and convert .TXT files and other commonly used script writing formats, then this would be perfect. As it stands, I still have to manually convert TXT to HSpeak just to make a compatible file.
Or am I doing something wrong?
Place Obligatory Signature Here
All plotscript source files are plain text. No exceptions.
Hamster Whisper only works on plain text.
The file extension .hss or .txt only matters to windows for what action will be associated with the file when you double-click it.
The filename extension .hss or .txt does not matter in the slightest to hspeak.exe
The filename extension .hss or .txt does matter for the new feature in custom. Because .txt is usually used for non-plotscript files, the file browser does not display the .txt files, it only displays the .hss files
