Designing my first game!

So I'm at the point where I have began designing my own game, I'm sure you figured that out by the topic lol! Though I feel that I'm a little to late for the fan game contest I still wanted to make it known that I hope to share something with all of you. My brother and I are designing a DBZ game and I bet that sounds over done already lolz!

I like the style of those.

And, no it is not too late for the Fangame contest. I know I haven't started mine yet :)

Thanks James! I have a playable demo but its only text. I spent days on making various character portraits. My plan is to put as many recognizable DBZ characters in it as humanly (as in me) possible.

Here is a little example of the portraits I did. As of now I have at least 3 or 4 different portraits for each character, each to show different expressions. Anyways maybe I will enter in the contest...

Another dragonball Z game eh?

There haven't been any in a long time. Why not resurrect the tradition?

Also I'm guessing that your game will be about a more recent season of Dragonball Z (I stopped paying attention after the Android saga), so I'd play your game just to get up to speed on what's happened in the DBZ universe.

I decided to set the time a little at the end of the Z series, so the plot line will be original. Anyway Im glad of the feedback you guys have been giving me, after this is complete I had another game in mind that I've been compiling characters for.

Digging the art style; keep up the good work.

That's actually pretty cool. The sand is some horrible stuff, though. I suggest making it look more 3D-Ish by actually changing the contour around the kame house's edges. (You know, so that they look partially hidden by a dune.)

You should also eliminate the brightest color on those dunes, because they shouldn't be so "Aaaah! Look at me!".

I totally love your walkabouts, though. Especially Goku.
