Anyone who completed Viridia Chapter 2 to its end (0 people, last I checked) will have gotten some information about Chapter 3, which I have deliberately been designing to be different from Chapter 2. I originally wanted to enter them both simultaneously for the last HotOHR, but ran out of time and had to go with the shorter, more complete half.
So anyway, at the minimum I would like to enter Chapter 3 into the next HotOHR. If I have time, I'll go back and redo the beginning, and integrate the completed chapters into one game. Chapter 1's already been done, and some people have played it, but I'm not happy with the storyline and want to rewrite a few dozen things before making it public.
If all goes well, it will feel like a... very long prologue.
Gulp, I just realized how awful that is immediately after typing it. If players manage to complete these three chapters, they'll be incredibly hyped and ready to get started on the real adventure, which I haven't even started on. The immense feel of disappointment would be... oh, man. I need to reflect on this for a while.

I was almost expecting to play as the water mage next. Looking forward to climbing the mountain, though!
i plan to add some new content to FDL including:
~new dungeons (obviously! damn game's not finished yet!)
~item creation
~a kayak! launch it at docks on the world map!
~finally, a side quest or two (pirate's cove? treasure island? possibly!)
~reworked dialouge (might as well make sense now that there's a point)
~flight spell(?) (can't get this to work right now... might scrap it)
~at least one minigame (because every game has one)
but lastly, i hope that i can find a way to make my game stand out. my goal is to make this game have at least 4 stars by the end of the year... perfectly attainable in the amount of time. just need to work hard and get feedback. feedback, feedback people!!

Metaphorically, of course.
Depending on when the deadline is (i don't keep track lol), i might have a demo of my main project done. just need to work on one more map, battle scripting, etc.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.......... No.

I have a question. How many games are we allowed to enter into the contest?

One. Just one.

While this is ideal, it isn't true.
You can enter however many games you want, but it's difficult to enter a quality game when you are carrying around too many eggs in your basket, so no one is going to recommend that you submit more than one. This is especially true when each game has to have at least 30 minutes of playable content (regardless of what Apophenia may teach you).
The stipulation is that you only get one bugfix/feature request, regardless of how many entries you submit. Same for any prize, real or imagined.
Release an awesome game. Not a bunch of halfhearted ones. But in the end, you can do what you want. The voters will still vote one way or another.

We are consider putting in Cait and the Dragon if we can. Its a lot of work but we've got a lot of time till you want it.
We are still new to building games. Cait and the Dragon have only two to three possible directions they can take that would make a great differences to the outcome. Is this enough to make this RPG?
Thanks,

Hmm... I'm probably going to enter something in this. Not sure what yet, but hopefully Okédoké will already be done by the time 2012 rolls around... so most likely something other than Okédoké.
Maybe I'll be done working on a 100% version of Puckamon by then. Or some sort of demo release for Fnrrf Ygm Schnish: Alleghany Hell School, after having worked on it since 2008 on and off (but mostly off.)
Or maybe some other new game idea will pop into my head out of nowhere and I'll enter that, if it isn't finished already by then.
FYS:AHS -- Swapping out some step-on NPCs for zones + each step script
Puckamon -- Not until the reserve party is expanded.[/size]
